Towers Loving Care

The skyride is acceptable how it is as you rarely need to wait long (though is acceptable good enough for the UKs biggest theme park?), but something needs to be done to the monorail station. They made a good start last year, but it's far from finished, and now the entrance station just look laughably bad in comparison to the car park station.

I'd like to see smilers projection room get some to, as well as galactica station in which the preshow is always too quiet or the tv's are turned off. Nemesis's station needs finishing, as does the work started in DF last year. Enterprise and that side of x-sector really needs a clean, as the water around oblivion tunnel exit is now completely green. I think towers are just trying to forget that part of the park exists though, especially after seeing the state of the submission site.

The thing with Duel is, it is one of only a small few UK attractions which I understand is rarely going to be 100%.

These rides have MANY parts that can break, or malfunction. It's why Charlie was so dreadful - they didn't bother with anywhere near the number of animatronic or moving features compared with The Haunted House or Toyland Tours. Duel is one of very few UK rides which has effects timed to the movement of the car - certainly in big numbers.

It stands to reason that it is going to have issues, pretty much constantly. As long as these are eventually picked up and addressed, then it's fine. Something like the trommel can't be fixed overnight, so clearly over winter it's the perfect time to replace it.

I remember visiting early last season and Galacticas music was blaring out in the station and it was so immersive and there was a great atmosphere. This is one of the points that I realised my obsession and it made me long to return! But when I did return the music was very quiet and I feel like the experience wasn't as good.

It makes me think that such little things can make such a big difference. I have hope that the tlc implement more things that really immerse people in the whole experience. The little details make people return. And spend too much money in the shop afterwards! :)

It was a shame that the Galactica music seemed to be much quieter by the end of the season that it was at the start. Given the awesome quality of the piece... I hope this can be rectified. Although it's hardly TLC.

It was an amazing soundtrack, I quite liked the one playing in the monorail station too! I hope we get the audio for SW8 from imascore!

The galactica music is a difficult one to get right. Too loud and its hard to hear instructions, too quiet it does not do its job.

I can't comment on the fireworks as i was wearing a headset. And could only hear the radio

I believe the Trommel tunnel is warped, no longer perfectly round hence why it doesnt work. A substantial rebuild is needed to fix it from what I understand.

This may be an obvious thing but shouldn't TLC be year round? Not just a bit of paint in the off season but continuously improving the park year round?
It NEEDS to be year round. I'm assuming that somewhere along the line, budgets are preventing this from being the case. Either that, or just laziness and apathy.

Was referring to the whole programme some 'projects' have been very little and not worth any attention. The nemmy repaint is something that should be shouted about as well as the fencing in dark forest, everything else should be done most winters without the need to promote it as something special.

Can't understand how that can happen to such a simple device which is structurely made of steel, and doesn't suffer humans jumping all over it. Ok it may have some milage on the clock, but really, the tunnel is twisted? It would sound more legit if the motor had just burnt out.

Either way, can't see it ever getting fixed. I don't even think there's any point in fixing given the state of the rest of the ride. Duel is in such a state of disrepair in no longer serves it's purpose. It seems to only exist due to nostalgic value.

I used to work (briefly) in a sheet steel works, big open ended tubes of steel either need support internally, standing on their end, or rotating occasionally to keep them truly cylindrical, unless (like me) they are very thick.
Looks like someone forgot to put the supporting props in place in the closed season, and the circle turned into an oval.
