Hi! New poster. :) Looking forward to getting I loved in discussions on here. Quick question? Done anyone know how busy Towers gets on weekdays in may? I have a day off on the 4th and was wondering if it's worth a trip. It's around a 3 hr drive for me though so don't want to turn up and find everything has massive queues.

As long as it's not a school holiday then queues should be alright. The place doesn't normally get busy until June when school trips start and summer holidays begin.

It's worth checking the website to see the opening hours or if the park is open at all, however, as there are some midweek closures this year.

EDIT: In fact, having just checked, the park is open 10am-4pm that day so you should be okay. I doubt any queues would be over 30 minutes and that's a maximum. You're probably looking at 15-20 minutes for the big rides really, and that's if you're unlucky.

Thanks so much! Have had a look at hotels and can get a travelodge for around £20 pp so would definitely be worth coming if queues aren't likely to be long! :)

No.
The earlier your requested dates, the earlier they will come to you.
If you requested summer or later, it will be a couple of weeks yet.

Anybody know of any big six challenge merch? I've seen it advertised on a photo but didn't see any when I was there. Thanks :)

The adverts that I have seen for the Big Six merch say that it will not be available until June. It looks like cheap tat anyway!

:)

Does anyone know roughly when the travellers days usually are? I've been one Sunday years ago fairly early in the season not knowing it was a traveller day and it was horrible, quite intimidating too for my kids.

Think it's usually Easter and the start of Scarefest isn't it?

I was there at scarefest last season - not too bad really just need to keep your wits about you as some stupid behaviour. Plenty of security though :)

You've missed the early one it was easter Sunday and there seemed to be the normal problems judging by AT Twitter.

How long does it roughly take between stations on skyride? And is there normally any queue to actually get on it? Also, what's the state of the monorail when it first opens in the morning? :p

1. Takes only about 5 mins between each stop providing it doesn't stop at any point half way between

2. Normally there is, but you won't queue up for very long

3. Dreadful, better off walking :p

Haha! Was thinking of either tactical parking to get as close to park as possible and walking it, or as close to monorail as possible and risking it. Will hopefully be on site by 8:30 so should have time either way.
