Just out of curiosity, what happens if a wheelchair bound epileptic tries to check into ATH and all the rooms on the ground flood are taken?
(The lifts contain flashing lights)

Can't answer your question although surely you would request a ground floor room prior to the date you're staying?

I believe they would call up to book and explain the situation to avoid that.

How much do you think wicker man fast pass will be on opening day if they are available? Last opening day I was at was 13 so can’t really remember

Indeed. It would be a total change of strategy to have fastrack available for Wicker Man for the first few months of opening at least. The only way to get one at first for Thirteen or The Smiler was if you were given an exit pass because of a breakdown.

:)

My wife is wheelchair bound and her wheelchair is too big to inside the lifts. For this reason, we book the enchanted village for our stay. What I also like about the enchanted village, is that there is no heavy fire doors to negotiate. Also the hotels are not great for wheelchair users if the fire alarms goes off. You won't be allowed to use the lifts and you will be expected to use the external fire exits (the ones at the far ends of the corridors and not the central one next to the lifts that take you up to the reception) where you are suppose to remain in the stairwell, this area are suppose to be fire proof  We learnt the hard way one year when the fire alarm keep going off during the night a good few years back, I had to physically carry Jess up the stairs leaving her wheelchair behind. I had no idea about the other emergency exit until we complained. We did get move to the reception level that night, just in-case the alarm went off again.

You can always contact guest services and explain your situation and request that you have a room on reception level.

Would be a pointless exercise selling FT for Wickerman as everyone would buy them and the queues would still be big. Only way around it would be Disney style time allocated slots.

It will be added onto FT for 2019 though no doubts.

Be interesting to see what they do with regards to their VIP pass holders
