£10 for a come back tomorrow, they stopped doing the any day ones this year.
Do Alton towers still do 'come back tomorrow' tickets when you leave the park?
If so how much are they now? Used to be £5 or £10 or skemthsom like that.

This is the 1st time I been to Alton Towers and stayed over. We printed off the 3 tickets. Do we show theses at the entrance or do we have to exchange them for real tickets?
What’s the latest u can check in?

If the tickets have barcodes you can just go straight to the turnstiles with them.

Rooms are ready from 3pm, you can check in earlier and leave your bags but can’t get in the room until 3.

A question

I'm going on Tuesday. i might be taking a friend with me. She doesn't have ID and wants a season pass. Is it possible to purchase a season pass, on the day, without bringing ID with her?

As long as she has money and her own face for them to take a photo of, I don't see a problem (do they even take a photo with the new passes?). Does your friend even have a bank card or anything? OK, maybe not everyone has a photo ID or driving licence, but there must be something, just in-case. Or is your friend just illegal immigranting their way around the country ;)

When i pre ordered my pass online i had to bring photo id with me when i collected it. I'm wondering if that's the same if you just pay on the day and not pre order it? She doesn't have a passport or a driving licence. Not an immigrant though.

I was only joking about the illegal immigrant thing. As long as she's there in person and has money, she'll be cool. A bank card or something just in-case would be good but probably not needed at all.

Edit - In many years of getting Alton Towers/Merlin passes from Towers box office I've never had to show photo ID, or any other kind. It's really simple and easy. No worries at all for your friend. Enjoy :)

That's ok, i knew you were joking!

It just seems daft to buy a day ticket if you can get the season pass for the same price

Indeed. It'll be so easy to do and nothing to stress about at all. I'm sure a few peeps who have done it already will chip in in due course :)

Everywhere seems to claim you "need ID" these days. Codswallop. The only time I've ever had to show ID is on the Hidden London tours of abandoned tube stations. (Presumably they want to check you are not a terrorist. Because we all know that terrorists do not have passports. Except that all "terrorists" just happen to have their passports on them when they get shot, of course...)

I pre-ordered mine and uploaded a photo before arrival. Despite having a photo of myself and me being physically there, they still insisted on ID. Bonkers!

I am sure you will be fine to buy on the day without needing ID though as others suggested.

No photo id at all apart from coaster season passes from over the years.
Does that mean I can never go on a tour of hidden tube stations then?

Well I just wave my expired passport at them. They've not checked it yet!
The older I get the more off-grid I want to be...
.... But anyway, lets not derail the thread. ;)

The only photo ID i have is for a national first aid charity i volunteer for. It is amazing how many place take it as ID.

Probably as most people are so poorly paid for their daily efforts that they don't give as much of a damn as they should in certain roles. Can't blame 'em.

Upgraded to season pass at park a few weeks ago. They didn't ask for ID. Just wanted your personal details and then they take a (rubbish) photo. I paid cash so they couldn't possibly verify my details. Also, as I said on another thread, if you get some cheap Sun tickets (off ebay) it is then only £25 to upgrade.

Just wondering if anyone had any advice regarding starting a career within the industry? My dream career would be something to do with the operational side/guest experience. I’m just not sure where to start as their doesn’t seen to be as many obvious career paths as there are for other professions :)
