Drayton Manor Park

I went today and G-Forces train is in the same place as it was last Sunday. The Carousel is having work done to it also with about a 1/4 of the horses missing.
Stormforce 10 around 12 middayhad a queue of 2 hours long. Staff in the shop were taking guests as they entered the queue. It really needs more boats added as there was long pauses between each launch. Funniest moment was a family didn’t want to join the big queue so they all just stuck against the fence and got soaked. Saved them a 2hr queue.
Zoo update staff must have found a large amount of dark green paint as most of the building have been painted in it now. Also some new birds have been added by the Dino Trail.
On another good note the park was listed on the website to close 5pm today and they extended it to half 6.

I had a look around Thomas Land yesterday and snuck in a ride on Troublesome Trucks while I was there, as the queue was quite short! The area is lovely! So much to do for younger kids and the theming looks lovely too! Not surprising that I loved it as much as I did when I went in 2008!

Yeah, Troublesome Trucks is actually a really good family coaster, and I always like to ride it when I'm on park. :)

I was actually surprised by Troublesome Trucks; it was actually quite snappy for a coaster of its size, and also very smooth for its age! Definitely my favourite kiddie coaster out of the limited selection I have, and to make a bold statement; I actually think I slightly prefer it to Buffalo! Of course it's not going to be making any of my top coaster lists any time soon, and I wouldn't queue any length of time for it, but it's a cracking little first coaster for young kids, in my opinion! If you ask me, Gerstlauer and Drayton nailed it with this one!

If you want to hear any more about my day at Drayton yesterday, I do have a trip report here: https://towersstreet.com/talk/threads/drayton-manor-8th-august-2018.4837/

Also, is it only me who thinks that Accelerator is Drayton's best roller coaster?

Sorry for double posting, but I was just going to ask if there have been any more rumours about this new coaster that Drayton apparently wants within the next couple of years? I do remember hearing about some sort of S&S concept that was apparently set to replace Buffalo, but that was apparently for 2018, and that obviously never came in 2018, unless the park is opening it particularly late in the season. Is there still rumoured to be a coaster at Drayton in the next couple of years, or has it been cancelled after the Splash Canyon incident?

One thing's for sure, though; I'm glad I rode Buffalo yesterday, as all the new coaster rumours that I've heard in the past seem to suggest that that coaster is to be removed to make way for Drayton's next big thing!

Not meaning to be blunt, but it was the girls fault! She broke the rules of the attraction that DM put very clearly at the ride entrance and therefore endangered herself and potentially her friends. Should the school not also take some responsibility?!

Not to be insensitive, but I hope Drayton have some way of countering this with evidence it seems itwasn't their fault with other in the boat mentioning her moving seats by standing up. Clearly against the rules of riding, but it seems unlikely they could prove it with CCTV ect if the investigation has been taking so long.
