No thanks diogo. However a tub of popcorn would not go amiss until the admins call time.Anyone fancy a pint?
I do have a daughter that is SEN and uses RAP. Its not the best system in the world, and i would join in with a constructive conversation.
The problem with using the term snowflake is people use the label to be negative about people they dont agree with.

Sowflakes...Okay no problem. You've clarified that my original interpretation of your post was correct, and indeed it is offensive to suggest people up in arms (quite rightly) over equal rights are sowflakes. I think that's fair for me to say, considering I'm partially sighted myself and this sort of thing does affect me.
Have a good day![]()

I think that, whatever side of the fence you're on here, everyone has to be in agreement that the RAP system at Alton Towers has some severe flaws. Not anywhere else have I seen a park having to actively EXTEND their RAP-equivalent queueline because it is so insanely long that it can't even be contained within the originally allocated space (as with Wicker Man). I also wonder how sensible it is for the rules to be allowing 3 people to be accompanying the person given the RAP in the first place - seems that the lax verification policy of qualification for the pass is basically allowing just about anyone to waltz in with a doctored letter and effectively secure free unlimited fastpass for their entire party.

Unfortunately it's often worse, you can walk in say cannot have rap and get issued it without proof...I think that, whatever side of the fence you're on here, everyone has to be in agreement that the RAP system at Alton Towers has some severe flaws. Making the queues wider to accept wheelchairs doesn't solve the issue. Some disabilities mean people are not able to stand for long periods in enclosed spaces surrounded by other people. It's not always to do with the physical queue infrastructure.
It would be good if there was a way of checking with the doctors to ensure it's a genuine letter. I doubt such a system exists though sadly.... seems that the lax verification policy of qualification for the pass is basically allowing just about anyone to waltz in with a doctored letter and effectively secure free unlimited fastpass for their entire party.

One way that's frequently suggested is to have a stock letter that is given to a named gp who then stamps itMaking the queues wider to accept wheelchairs doesn't solve the issue. I have never seen that. This year all they have done is complain that my daughter specialist have not worded the letter correctly and make me feel like crap and my daughter confused causing 30 to 45 mins of issues after the box office visit due to the doctor not using the exact line word or word off AT website.Unfortunately it's often worse, you can walk in say cannot have rap and get issued it without proof...

Thorpe have reverted a lot of their RAP queues to the fast track queue because the makeshift RAP one was so over-run, so it's not a problem exclusive to Alton.

Which brings a nice big bundle of problems itself.Thorpe have reverted a lot of their RAP queues to the fast track queue because the makeshift RAP one was so over-run, so it's not a problem exclusive to Alton.
Does seem silly putting unable to queue and paying not to queue in the same line.

Do you think a system like Volcano Bay would work at any of the UK parks. A virtual queue?

Legoland call their qsmart system qbot which gets confusing as accesso have a similar service called qbot.Ahhhhhhh didn't realise that legoland used that system.
