'The Beginning'
A very good evening to you all! It's been a long time since I created one of these threads showcasing one of my parks so I'm not 100% sure how to go about it but i'll give it my best shot. Shortly after Planet Coaster was released I began to create my first park on the game. Ever since then I've been working on it in my spare time to the point now where I have a fully completed park which runs smoothly (most of the time), so I felt now was the time to share it with you all!

So, why Legoland? A slightly strange move, but I've always preferred to re-create attractions and parks on games such as Planet Coaster and RCT3 as opposed to coming up with my own ideas, I find it more of a challenge to try and make whatever im re-building look like it's real Iife counterpart. With this in mind and my love for the Legoland Parks across the world, I decided to begin creating 'Legoland Planet Coaster Resort'. A Planet Coaster park incorporating my favourite attractions and areas from the parks across the world with the addition of my own ideas and some theming changes along the way. It's a project I absolutely love working on and although I do have a 'finished' park now, I'm by no means done. As with real parks I'm still continuing to improve what's already there, add new attractions and fill in the gaps I've missed along the way. I think that's covered all that I need to say but if anyone has any questions or views please feel free to comment below!

My main goal for this project was to create a park which looked as realistic as possible to the Legoland Parks around the world by recreating their most popular attractions but adding new ones with my own twists as well. Although I have created the park and attractions myself, I would like to say that some scenery objects have been used from the Steam Workshop. So, with all that out the way I hope you enjoy what I've done!

A guide to the Resort:
When I first opened the Resort last year it opened with a Legoland Theme Park including 12 attractions across 7 themed lands. Since then however, some areas and attractions have been re-themed / removed / new rides attractions added bringing the total to 22 attractions across 8 themed lands. The Resort also includes a 100 room 4* Legoland Hotel.

Legoland Hotel
The Legoland Planet Coaster Resort's Legoland Hotel sits at the top of the hill and is only a 5 min walk from the Park Entrance or a short ride on the Lego Tram which runs constantly between the entrance, hotel and car parks. As well as being a short walk from the entrance, the hotel also has direct access to the park from the rear of the building, as well as an exclusive Hill Train station for hotel guests only adjacent to the hotel.

Hotel stats:

  • 100 Standard Bedrooms
  • 4 floors
  • Indoor Pool
  • Bricks Family Restaurant & Bar
  • Outdoor Play Area
  • Arcade
  • Direct Access to Park

This looks awesome. I am keen to see what the rest of the park looks like. This is why I love Planet Coaster, the bar has been raised so much higher than previous RCT games. The limit (more so than ever) is your imagination.

Just a quick update:
I did take a load of photos of the park but... I forgot to save them, so I need to take them all again. :tearsofjoy::sob: So I haven't forgot but I'm afraid it's going to be a little while longer.

**NEW ATTRACTION COMING SOON**

rw3ptz.png

Ever since I opened the Park it has unfortunately struggled with the number of park guests, and although increasing throughputs where possible, nearly all major attractions have 90mins+ wait times. Because of this I've made it my priority to try and add new attractions as quickly as possible such as Monster Fighters - Horror in Heartlake, a new interactive dark ride in Heartlake City, the transformation of the Technic Zone into The Lego Movie World which included the addition of Unikitty Power Drop (Drop Tower), The Lego Movie: 4D Experience (4D Ride) and a refurbishment of Lego Batman: The Ride into Lego Batman: Master of Flight.

I'm just starting construction of the new attraction which will be located in Ninjago World, joining Ninjago River Quest, the parks family rapids ride.

Location
LEGO Ninjago Spinjitzu Training Academy is a new family spinning coaster located in the Ninjago World area of Legoland Planet Coaster Resort. The new attraction is currently being built behind the Heartlake City Station and when opened will join on to the existing Ninjago World area, home to Ninjago River Quest. The attraction will also be accessible via a new entrance to the area, connecting to Heartlake City. As well as the new attraction, the new area will also include 'The Monastery of Spinjago' a larger than life replica of one of the Lego Ninjago sets and a new food and beverage unit.

Story
Enter the Monastery of Spinjago and join Kai, Jay, Lloyd and Zane as they help you master the art of Spinjitzu. During your training you'll learn all the essential ninja skills including spinning at dizzying heights and conquering high dives and manoeuvres. Have you got what it takes to become an official Ninjago warrior?

Ride Details
LEGO Ninjago Spinjitzu Training Academy is a turbulent fast-paced spinning roller coaster type ride featuring sudden turns, drops and stops. Groups of up to four people may board their training vehicle as they enter the training academy.

Development
Ever since I began building the Park I had an idea for a spinning coaster to be added in the future. As far as I'm aware none of the Legoland Parks around the world have a spinning coaster so this was going to be a first to overlay one with a Lego theme. After doing a little bit of research I thought that the Ninjago Spinjitzu brand fit in with the idea of a spinning coaster very well so I then began thinking of ideas to pull it off. Initially I planned for the coaster to be a Maurer Sohne custom layout, but after looking at the space available it wasn't going to realistically fit into the space without flattening some rather large terrain, and trying to keep this project relatively realistic, that wasn't going to happen. In the end I gathered as usual with the Merlin parks budgets would soon start to appear so I decided the best option would be to recreate an off the shelf version of a Wild Mouse style coaster and theme that to the Ninjago brand, similar to Kung Fu Panda at Gardaland. The area is nearing completion now with just some finishing touches left to go so i'll update with some photos soon...

Construction Update

Spinjitzu Training Academy - The new ride and area is now completed and opened up to peeps for previews. Currently only peeps who have bought a Priority Pass can ride the new attraction. (Photos to follow)

Skyrider - As some of you may be aware, the latest Planet Coaster expansion pack (Classic Rides) came with an update to the cable car system, being able to replace the chairlift style seats with enclosed gondolas. My plan was to change the gondolas on the Legoland Skyrider which runs up and down the hill connecting The Beginning and Legoland Hotel to The Lego Movie World and the rest of the lower park. Usually when these updates are released, you can keep the ride in place and just change the vehicle type, however with this update you have to re-build the ride to suit the new gondolas, which is proving a slight challenge to line up the columns in place of the old ones to fit into the station buildings. As this is proving a much larger job than planned the Skyrider will be closed for the foreseeable future.

This park gets more realistic by the day
