Grime?
I don't think they're that bad tbfI'd rather they tackle the restraint stink before the grime. Jesus, get some baking soda on those ****ers because it's a horrendous mix of BO and vomit. Bleach them or something. Bloody hell.

There are sections of Nemesis which are really depressing to look at. Considering it was repainted mainly white only a couple of years ago, a lot of it has turned a stunning shade of (what we are supposedly calling these days) “midnight green”.

I noticed that too last week. Most of the queue line wooden signs are rotting and coming apart at the sides and the main Nemesis sign as you walk into forbidden valley has faded over the years from weather erosion.
I get it’s meant to look quite rustic but come on some general upkeep wouldn’t hurt.

They jus won’t pay for proper cleaning.
It’s now at a point where the traditionally “dirtier” Pleasure Beach is far cleaner than AT. Everywhere you look there is just scum. It’s not something you can fob off with excuses of weather and trees; parts of the park, both inside and out, are equally dirty.

I suppose it’s a price you pay when you don’t build 200 foot coasters in a themeless car park in 30 degree yearly heat.

That's why I took loads of pics of Nemesis while it was still fresh.
Galacticair is always a smelly coaster
Don't get me wrong venny...I was explaining why the issue is so bad this year. They jus won’t pay for proper cleaning.

All my punters have nice, clean, safe paths and drives this Autumn, but it has been a monthly task since July, I have burnt out a small jetwasher in one season, and have used more treatments than in any other year in a decade.
Climate change means more weather, not one dry week since June.
Filth needs moisture to grow.
However, it doesn't need special treatments and deep clean teams, it needs a fifty quid jetwasher from Argos, a quid bottle of bleach diluted 10 to 1, and a bottle of flash for each ride.
Just that would make a massive difference at Mucky Towers.
But then how would they clean the ride? To get to the track they would need lifts to elevate the jet washers to the same level as the track. Then there is the risk of water being fired at high speed damaging sensors on the track. I dont believe its as simple as just buying a cheap jet wash from Argos and some bleach!
I have an idea, I saw a photo of a baby outfit covered in cleaning cloths so when it scoots across the floor it cleans at the same time. Why not fit cleaning cloths to the rollercoaster cars so they clean the track as they whizz around it. And as for the rides, for those rides with OTSR, make them wear fluffy gloves and a hat covered in dusters, so as their heads move and their hands hold on to the restraints, they clean at the same time.
I'm a genuis! I'm going to send this to AT management now.

I mean, Phantasialand and Toverland are both heavily themed parks yet most areas there look spotless.I suppose it’s a price you pay when you don’t build 200 foot coasters in a themeless car park in 30 degree yearly heat.
I disagree with the points about Pleasure Beach looking better now, whilst they are good at cleaning queuelines and ride trains there are areas which look near-enough dilapidated; half of the River Caves facade was pulled down a few years back and replaced with (now rotten) wood, the new arcade is featureless and the less said about the view of a warehouse or wooden fence from the fountain area the better.

I thought the repaint was too white but it has blended in with the grime nicely! Almost a similar shade to the original. There are sections of Nemesis which are really depressing to look at. Considering it was repainted mainly white only a couple of years ago
Admittedly some of Altons coasters are tricky to clean but it's achievable.
Thorpe and even Heide have the grime too, aswell as queueline chewing gum issues. Merlin really do need to pay the money and get their parks cleaned more often.

They do look better, but aren't prone to the issues that Alton suffers with the old growth trees 'greening' everything around them.I mean, Phantasialand and Toverland are both heavily themed parks yet most areas there look spotless.
