There are quite a few travellers here today. They arrived early afternoon. Security has been tighter and a lot more around.

You get a silver wristband for platinum which you just show at fastrack entrances. You also get given a FT ticket with list of all rides. When I did it earlier this season only one of the ride staff asked to see the card as well as the wristband, so just make sure you keep that on you as it does say they will ask to see it.
As for “family friendly days” I believe alton towers are expecting them on Saturday and possibly Sunday this weekend. They were certainly there today.

Although I didn’t see anything major, the atmosphere was off for me yesterday. Also never seen so many queue jumpers from little brats dressed like they’re going to a nightclub. Never again.

Pretty much every day will be packed, so they'll all be the same.
How long is a piece of string?
Avoid Halloween itself. I should imagine the park will go quiet once Halloween (31st) has come and gone.
Schools are off this week in my local area and yet everywhere seems to be very quiet, so I imagine next week is going to be very busy.
Ok. Also what is the queue for the smiler from the single rider sign outside?

If you mean how long is the queue from there then long, very very long. I doubt it would get to that point though as it would be longer than the main queue.
