Damn. Damn damn. I knew I should have gone to ride the Ultimate when I last had the chance. Recent posts in this thread led me to believe it may have been my last chance a while back, and the pessimist in me says it’s a certainty now.
If it ever reopens I won’t waste time. I live so close, I have no excuse.
Very worrying for the park.

Do u think it could be that they can only load a max of 10 rows per train and as the ride takes 7 mins with loading and unloading and maybe cleaning the seats it may ending up only operating with 80 guests a hour.

Then run it on one train with with several rows closed off during off-peak periods anyway (using water barrels to try to ensure it gets round, not always successfully). They could presumably close off every other row if they really wanted to have it running.

Looking at their website again,
"For this summer, we have decided to close a number of thrill rides which we feel are more difficult to manage social distancing."
has been changed to:
"For this summer to help us manage visitor numbers and keep everyone safe, we are focusing on running the rides and parts of the Park which are more suited to a younger family audience"

The park is doomed. It needs putting out of its misery i think. Was rubbish last time I went sadly - left at 1pm.
Sad.

You could have had 4 more hours of Ultimate punishment!
Email from park, entry £14.50. Don't think I would pay 14p to go in with Ultimate & Raptor Attack shut. All visits must be pre-booked & there is a limited amount of tickets available each day. I don't think they need worry about this limit being reached, nobody will want to go!

That would have been about 4 rides on it due to 1 train operation, a queue to the door and a steady stream of fastrack.

Fair point. Last 90 mins after trips have gone is gold though!
The use of fasttrack on busy days is appalling.
I was told that they made half their income from school groups.
Stuffed by years end sadly.
Not to mention queue jumpers. Little bar stewards.
I guess that’s how most smaller parks are kept going is school trip season. I guess it will interesting to see how long they can last for.The use of fasttrack on busy days is appalling.

This wasn't during school trip season, just a busy BH weekend
Unless there is a genuine reason such as the second train needing maintenance, not running both on a busy day is, wait for it, . . . . totally unacceptable !

They always used to run two trains during school trips season and school holidays.
My last visit was in 2015 though, sounds like a lot has changed. Back then, enthusiasts had nothing but praise for the park.

On my visit in 2012 they were running both, but in 2016 and 2019 they only ran one. The queue was around 30 mins which isn't exactly long but it is tedious when you just want to ride Ultimate all dayThey always used to run two trains during school trips season and school holidays.

and following the Splash Canyon incident at Drayon Manor things seemed to be in question and there was indication that school trips were being reduced.
