Quick Questions

How is getting into the park...as in how long does it take

We're going at weekend....We'd normally get to the entrance plaza just before ERT so 925 ish

I know there isn't ert by the was but i believe they're letting people in early

Can you upgrade your ticket on the day still? If I’ve booked a day ticket for next week. Can I upgrade it to a season pass on the day at guest services like last year?

Has anybody done extraordinary golf this year?

On the last day of the season last year we won the last hole challenge and got a free round given to us....but it has a 6 month validity period and obviously its been closed

I've emailed towers asking if they'll be ok and they've advised me to book a time slot online and then present the vouchers

Now A- its never been time slots in the past but i suppose this could be covid related

B-if i book online i'm going to have to pay....so i'm not doing that as a have free vouchers

So does anybody know if it is time slots?

Sorry my quick question isn't exactly quick!

I've booked a slot for next week with my annual pass. I'm not able to go on those days due to transport issues, am I able to change my dates. Can't figure it out on the website.

Hi all,

Haven’t been on here in a while. I’m guessing that it still isn’t, but can anyone confirm that Early Ride Time isn’t happening still? I’ll be visiting next Thursday.

Thanks!

I’m trying to book water park tickets for 18th August but the whole year is showing fully booked has anyone had any success? It’s the same for the rollercoaster restaurant

Got a message from towers on Twitter just a big standard response saying the booming system is correct but that puts the water park sold out for the rest of the year? Same with RCR

That does seem unlikely, perhaps they are holding back waterpark tickets for hotel residents and only releasing day tickets much closer to the time once they have an idea of the level of hotel bookings.

For Rollercoaster Restaurant it might be worth dropping them an email directly to see what they say. [email protected]

Hey guys! First trip to Alton Towers in 10+ years booked for next Monday 10th August, doing 2 days with a first stay in the Stargazing Pods. Very excited!
What's the best plan for getting there on the first day, parking and getting in to the park early?
Can guests pick up keys that early? Will I be allowed to park near the pods for free with my booking confirmation and then just walk to the park gates? Thanks in advance! :)

Head straight for the Stargazing Pods parking, you will be temperature checked and issued with a wristband on arrival. You can then access the park via the gate near Galactica which is just for hotel guests, so much quieter and quicker than the main entrance. This is open 9.30am-11.30am.

It reopens again at the end of the day (at ride close time) for exiting the park, if you want to leave earlier then you need to use the Towers St exit and walk back (no monorail at the moment).

You can’t get the keys to your pod until 3pm, but can arrive and park as early as you like.

Thanks for the great reply, very much appreciated!

Just a quick one. Are Alton Towers doing the Eat Out to help out scheme? I was in Oakwood last week and they were doing it at all food locations, wonder if Alton are doing the same?
