The parks main flats are also pulling in big queues again, aside from Roller Disco which is 10 minutes
The Blade is 35
Enterprise and Funk'n'Fly are 45
Mixtape is 50

It'd be a shame to think the Retrosquad will be removed at the end of the season we'll get nothing - in regards to what someone was saying about purchasing a Smashing Jump though, I think it's a great idea it could easily passed off as something related to The Smiler!

My very first post on this forum was that the Smashing Jump looks just like the Marmaliser and how it could be themed in black and yellow and called something like The Marmaliser’s Revenge. (Name needs work!)

Yeah given the popularity of Mixtape it would be a no-brainer for towers to get a permanent Smashing Jump themed into X Sector. :)
(Please, please do that Towers!)

Maybe operations are slow. Maybe it is on fewer trains. Maybe there is a load of RAP. Maybe there is a load of fastrack. Maybe the queue time is wrong. Maybe social distancing is different in the queue.
Impossible to know when you are sat at a computer! Croc Drop at Chessington was 180 minutes the other day. I have no idea how that is even possible but clearly it was.

A bit late to the party but yes smiler was on 2 trains for a start, then 3 and then plagued by downtime in the later hours of the day.

2 hours for wicker man. This ride showing who's boss
Edit: How can it even get to 2 hours atm? Does it even have the queue space

The ride has a surprising amount of extension queue; you have the switchbacks just outside the turnaround by the wicker man structure that are there to use if the queue gets too big to fit into the queue within that turnaround, then they have a couple of switchbacks in front of the entrance that they can use, which then stretch back onto the bottom portion of the path that everyone had to wander down during Wicker Man’s construction.

After the throughput debate earlier in the week, I decided to try and resolve it by taking some throughput readings of my own while in the queues today. I got:
  • Rita: 713pph
  • Thirteen: 957pph
  • Nemesis: 899pph (this seemed suspiciously low; I’m convinced something is up with Nemesis at the moment...)
  • Wicker Man: 1059pph
  • Spinball Whizzer: 642pph
  • Oblivion: 1156pph
On all of these, I tried to get an average of 5 dispatches. However, Nemesis and Wicker Man are only 4, as they went down for cleaning on the 5th dispatch, and Rita is only 2 as I wasn’t in the queue long enough to get 5.

Hope this helps resolve the debate to a degree... do you agree with my readings?

Did you take into account how many riders were loaded onto each train for these calculations? as you know it can differ quite a lot during social distanced loading procedures which could easily distort any attempts to calculate throughput:)

I should have pointed out that these assume a full train, and likely differ to varying degrees from the actual throughput depending on the ride. Due to social distancing, the number on a train can vary wildly at the moment, so I just assumed a full train to make things a little more uniform.

That makes sense as Th13teen is on half capacity atm so there's no way it's 957. That's what it'd do normally let alone with half the trains full.
Edit: On the talk of queues though, how long did you wait for the big 7 coasters today? Was the app accurate

I don't think people care as much about the actual queue time, just interested which rides are thr busiest

Talking of queue times, how can the smiler be 75 minutes. I've queued for it just before it hit capacity and it was 65. Unless they're selling more fastrack or something
Whoever split this off from the main thread, I'll leave my credit card for you behind the bar at the Welcom-Inn.

Get loaded, you've earned it.

Rita was practically walk-on, possibly 5 minutes at a push. (advertised 0 minutes)

Thirteen was around 20 minutes. (advertised 15 minutes)

Nemesis was around 50 minutes. (advertised 40 minutes)

Wicker Man was around 120 minutes. (advertised 90 minutes)

Spinball Whizzer was around 20-30 minutes; can’t remember exactly. (advertised 60 minutes).

Oblivion was around 10 minutes. (advertised 40 minutes)

Blime me 2 hours for wicker man! Where did you start queueing from?

I can’t remember exactly, but I’d probably say near to the start of the extensions within the actual, permanent queue (as in, not the temporary ones out the front).

You queued 2 hours from there! I queued an hour from there last season, I guess there was no fastrack though which would help

I seem to remember the amount of Fastrack/RAP on Wicker Man actually being pretty high yesterday, so I wouldn’t be too surprised if that’s what caused the queue to be a bit longer.

How come you didn't get on the smiler? Not a fanp
Even though I’m not a huge fan of it, I would have liked to have at least given The Smiler a try, but the queue was either at capacity or really long all day. Also, my dad doesn’t ride The Smiler anymore because the last ride we had on it really hurt his back, and we didn’t want to leave him waiting outside for almost 2 hours (as it was at numerous points yesterday).

We also didn’t do Galactica because the queue was very long (I think over an hour?) when we were down in Forbidden Valley, and it also kept breaking down throughout the day.

I think the single rider queue on Smiler is still in use. Keep that in mind for next time. :)
