[2024] Nemesis Reborn: Construction and Speculation

I'm happier they've worked around the fault rather than shutting it for it. Regarding queues today, yes it hit an actual hour but it's the first post-lockdown weekend and it's been nice weather. It wasn't out of line with the other rides across park.
Are the queue times even accurate anyway? I know someone who waited 100 for the smiler earlier when it said 50, so clearly not much point relying on the estimated queue times as a verification to how busy the rides are. Unless if you actually queued an hour for Nemesis which is fair enough you know from experience

well you can always just judge it by eye if you don’t trust the queue boards, They are never going to be exactly perfect especially during a pandemic. Regarding nemesis, it’s bound to be hard for them to correctly know the exact queue time when they are running a completely new and temporary batching procedure.

At least with the rides closing earlier today Tech Services have more time to look at the problem. :)

Good news, Nemmy's air gates have been fixed! :)
Guests are still being held outside the station though.
That makes sense. I noticed today they were working so I was confused why they were still holding people outside, but given that indoor mixing isn't allowed it makes sense

Why does it make sense? They aren't holding guests outside at other indoor stations.

Perhaps the air gates themselves are fixed. But management still need to sign off on the procedures going back to normal or programmes need to be changed back and there wasn’t time before park opening today?

Most likely explanation that is I think. :)

Still batching outside the station today, but the gates are definitely working. Also only loading every other train in the last hour or so.

Ride is running well, but sadly it's starting to show its age a bit.

The air gates aren't working properly still, they've been testing them today and they keep having to be assisted by a staff member.

Yeah on Sunday the queue hit an hour as I was in it when it did. Today however as you can imagine it's much better but still batching outside the station

They are still batching from the entrance to the station as although the air gates appear to be working, the issue is not yet fully resolved.

As a consequence, Nemesis throughput remains at least 25% lower than normal and so the waiting time is longer than usual. Today, Nemesis hovered between 50 and 70 minutes for the bulk of the day.

No - they're sending approx. 25% fewer trains per hour due to increased loading times. The limit of 1 group per row is reducing the number of people per train too.

The queue times for Nemesis today prove the ride is still popular with visitors and the main reason it's normally so quiet is that the capacity is so much higher than that of most of the other rides

Had a couple of back row rides the other day for the first time in a few seasons and damn, I forgot just how intense it is compared to the front. It was absolutely heaving through each element and the feeling of weightlessness at the top of the vertical loop before getting dragged back towards the ground is still one of my favourite feelings on a coaster on park.

Got a front row ride on Nemmy yesterday, but not before it broke down! We were in the boarding aisles, and the train coming in to the station got stuck half in and half out. :tearsofjoy:
Took 20 mins or so as they had to wait for tech services, park the train in the station, get everyone off both trains then send both around empty. Was cool to watch as well! :)

Did nemesis 3 times in the front row on the 12th last week, mainly because they were understaffed and had no one assigning seats so was a bit of a free for all but damn that coaster is just fantastic and still running pretty smooth.

Out of the 5 rides I got on it I only had 1 ride that was rough and not sure what caused that but it still delivers all.of these years later.

It's rare that Nemmy has a batching host these days I think. I'm sure there's never been one on any of my rides on it.

This sort of enthusiasm on an enthusiast site just won't do.

I’ve got to say, the ride I had in April was probably my favourite I’ve had on Nemesis in a while! I was in row 3, and there was no head-banging, no rattle, and just the right amount of force!

It was a brilliant ride, and certainly elevated Nemesis back to the higher end of the top 20 for me, even though it’s still not quite a top 10 ride for me like it used to be!

The first ride I had which was first thing in morning was 10/10 then seemed a little sluggish later on but it was just after a breakdown.
