General Queue Times Discussion

Ah September, the time when I can come out of hiding and start visiting Merlin parks again.

I'm hoping this September proves busier than it has in the past so we get more events like Oktoberfest and better opening hours. Should be an interesting few weeks to see how crowd levels pan out.

It definitely will, I think crowds will go back to June levels, maybe less, where I waited no more than 25 minutes for anything. Not because things didn't get over that, but because I timed the rides well.

Well at the moment, longest queue time is 60 mins and with 3 thrill rides closed, I'm pretty optimistic for the next couple of weeks!

Yes but the fact there major rides is down is a little concerning. Why is ride reliability so poor this year? Can it really be blamed on staff shortages?

Now the app has updated, all the major thrills apart from Nemesis are 60 minute plus with Wickerman and The Smiler at 90. That’s with everything open apart from Enterprise.
It seems that they have constant problems in getting everything open at 10am.

To be fair that could be to do with staffing. Not having enough maintenance staff to sort everything out unstill the park opens. I imagine enterprise won't open until next season at this rate.

Although Blade has now closed. Not sure if that’s connected or a completely separate issue.
doesn't Blade's reliability waiver towards the end of every season and then we all start discussing if it is going to be removed. I did wonder when it was going to start braking again.

Isn’t Galactica among the park’s highest throughput coasters when on two stations? I could have sworn someone once did an operations video where it neared Nemesis for hourly throughput on 2 stations…

Cuckoo Cars Driving School has also been closed for about 3 days, which strikes me as an odd one, the only thing I can think of for that it staff shortages.

No I'd still say Nemesis achieves a higher throughput although if the galactica crews are really pushing the trains out it can probably do somewhere close. Oblivion technically has the highest throughput but doesn't often achieve it's full throughput. Thirteen also has a good throughput when operating properly.

That one is fairly easy to cut, I’d imagine, as I can’t imagine it gets loads of traffic these days what with it being tucked away behind the Towers. Much of the target demographic of TWODW are too old/big for it! Isn’t it designed more for CBeebies age children?
