Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Haven't THORPE previously even know to taunt enthusiasts with silly little activity on park?

I would be hugely surprised if this had anything to do with the construction of a new coaster, as opposed to active management of the woods (not an expert but ash die back?).

Why would you start devegetating an area for a rollercoaster which doesn't even have planning application yet? It makes no sense. Deforestation takes days, and also is required to be covered under the planning application anyway. If this really is preparing for a coaster then they're going about it very slowly and sidestepping a part of the planning application.

I'd personally be shocked if any coaster went that far back anyway, there's huge areas of space in old town with the infrastructure for a coaster in place already.

It depends on the type of coaster; some coaster types require a huge amount of land!

Out of interest, where in Old Town have markings been sighted?

This is my favourite tree clearance at a UK theme park until a see a better one, then I might have to rethink my rankings.
It was my favourite until 2 hours ago. Now it's number 3. I saw a branch on the floor on the way home from work and that takes second place now. The council cut down a tree opposite my house and that's now my number 1. Definitely an Intamin Blitz being build on that roundabout, I can tell by the way the chainsaw was used

Land management...as previously stated.
The whole landscape is artificial...this is a flooded quarry being managed by a private corporation.
Letting it simply run wild costs far more to manage in the long run.

That document is odd

If it’s for a new ride it’s clearly the script for an advert
But there is no new ride
Scaremaze?

The crows are moving on up from a roaming thing to having their very own maze so i guess it's for that.*

*well not what THORPE call a maze but meh close enough, some of the walk throughs are mazes not by name
