I have tickets for this weekend but I’m actually thinking of not bothering to go up - never thought I’d say that! But with the amount of ride closures and the potential queues this will cause on what will be a very busy weekend, I’m not sure I want to travel all the way up and spend any more money on what might be a very frustrating day!
It’ll definitely be busy, however at least it’s looking like a dry and calm weekend weather wise which will work in favour of ride reliability. In theory.

Hex had issues on Sunday. It didn’t open on time, it then also shut during the day for a while. Then it broke down at about 8pm, I was on the ride and we stopped mid ride and then had to wait for the techies to come and manually turn the vault for us to get it. I don’t think it’s actually opened since then.

Yikes, yeah not looking good then! :(
Would love to be stuck on it like that though I must admit. :p

That's sad to hear. But I do think you should still make the trip, perhaps with measured expectations about the number of rides you'll get on. If you can get there super-early you should be able to do one of the big coasters without having to queue at all, then whip around Nemesis and Galactica before they get too busy. Then maybe just spend time wandering around the park during the busiest part of the day and soaking up the atmosphere - it is Scarefest after all and the park will be decorated, and you've got things like the garden lights walk as additional attractions. Not sure of the best strategy regarding getting the most night-rides in but others on here can probably advise on that. Don't sweat too much about things going down - it will happen! The day is what you make of it.

Monday (18th) it opened midday after being down, for 30 minutes to an hour and then closed. On Tuesday (19th) it opened midday again and ran for quite a few hours, not too sure about whether it stayed open until 9pm, but it was definitely open for a long while. I got a ride on it.

Hopefully it doesn’t have anymore issues - it’s advertised at a 50 minute wait at the time of writing this so still very popular
Unless they're having to run it on a reduced capacity for some reason? Hope it's just really popular though. :)

Edit: Hex is closed again!:oops:

They were accepting like 60 people per go, or at least whatever the counter goes down to as you go through the bollards as I don’t remember the exact number. I just remember it going all the way down. (this was on Tuesday)

Each group will be a maxium of 78, as that's how many seats the vault has. :)

I managed to get on Hex today shortly after it finally opened. We waited about 20 mins but by the time we came back outside, the outside queue line was almost full. Capacity wasn't an issue, they were sending in groups of 60 + and filling all benches in the vault.

Is it even still limited? I don't even think it was that heavily limited last year or early this year. Clearly there are days where the park is getting quite busy.
Well the park capacity is apparently around 28-30,000 but scarefest has sold out every day now. Surely they can't be hitting those figures daily

I have no idea as I haven't visited during scarefest however if it feels a little quieter than scarefest in the past maybe its limited but just not by much?

Shame in such a busy period one of the main rides is shut. The next 2 weekends will probably be some of the busiest days of the year so to not have the smiler is a huge problem. The queues for WM and th13teen (if it's open) will be horrendous

I would also imagine oblivions queue to be much longer than it has been at busy scarefest and fireworks times in recent times. Only because it will be the only major ride in X-sector open especially if Mistake or Enterprise go down (bound to do at some point during the next few weeks)

I went last Saturday and it was very busy. WM queue was almost full in the extension (after the entrance, not outside) but the way they were pushing out those trains, it kept moving well and it was never at the advertised time.

WM was on 2 trains yesterday and we waited 100 mins in the end when it was advertised 70. It was technically 85 mins as it broke down for 15 mins but that queue felt much slower than normally. Off course I imagine it being on 2 trains was the reason for. They actually did add a 3rd train when I was in the queue so idk if did break down or if they were saying that because adding a train would cause a temporary stoppage
