Well the park capacity is apparently around 28-30,000 but scarefest has sold out every day now. Surely they can't be hitting those figures daily

I've see Scarefest (Sat 23rd) sold out well over a week in advance. Then a by mid week before the day, you can buy tickets again.

I'm starting to assume that initial sell outs are base around staffing & trying balancing out the crowd numbers over the 2 weeks. Then increase numbers on certain days when they are confident they will have enough staff. I'm assuming they just don't have the staff to run the park at full capacity every day going by whats been said in past on here.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if caps on capacity (and it's apparent fluctation) is more down to staff availability than Covid and social distancing now.

WM was on 2 trains yesterday and we waited 100 mins in the end when it was advertised 70. It was technically 85 mins as it broke down for 15 mins but that queue felt much slower than normally. Off course I imagine it being on 2 trains was the reason for. They actually did add a 3rd train when I was in the queue so idk if did break down or if they were saying that because adding a train would cause a temporary stoppage
Yeah it was on 3 trains when I was there

I have no idea as I haven't visited during scarefest however if it feels a little quieter than scarefest in the past maybe its limited but just not by much?

Shame in such a busy period one of the main rides is shut. The next 2 weekends will probably be some of the busiest days of the year so to not have the smiler is a huge problem. The queues for WM and th13teen (if it's open) will be horrendous

Its possible they have limited the capacity now due to the Smiler being closed, hence the Scarefest dates fairly suddenly selling out, likely due to the amount of tickets being available being reduced.

TPWW has done a video covering several issues, including Smiler's extended downtime, Thirteen's issues, the recent massive queue times and Fireworks preparations (hence why I posted it in the general thread rather than all four specific threads);

I was just casually looking at Fastrack options for my visit on 6th November and the app allows you to buy various fastrack packages on 13th/14th November, despite the park being closed? I went as far as I could without actually buying them to check it wasn’t an error, but it does look like they’ll take your money.

The park is open for a private event (5k / 10k / half marathon) that weekend. It is conceivable that they will sell fastracks that weekend and this is not a mistake.

There's a 5k/10k and half marathon on that weekend. The park is open for runners and spectators

Just done a bit of research into this event. You can grab a spectator ticket for £22 which gives you access to 6 hours of ride time at an event with a much lower capacity than a standard park day. Assuming most rides will be open, this event suddenly seems like a great value day out!

I'm supposed to be doing the 10k. Only started couch to 5k a few days ago haha.

Haha good luck!

I recently emailed and downgraded to the 5k as my training plans haven't been great. Post covid has impacted my ability to exercise more than I realised. Plus the thought of a 10k run and several hours round the park is a bit daunting right now :D

I'd say I'd get on the rides quicker too but I'm not so sure I'll be doing a sub 30 minutes 5k anytime soon.

Great value but think of how great those Smiler restraints are going to smell after the races :eek::mask::astonished:

The Smiler restraints stink of sweat / vomit to start off with. I'd put good money on Towers NOT having used the Smiler downtime to do any significant cleaning of the trains (as they probably have little intention of re-opening the Smiler this season).
