2022 Speculation and CBeebies Land additions

Here’s the construction photos that @Danscott22 alluded to, from TPW’s Facebook page:

I admittedly don’t know much about where things are in CBeebies Land, but it looks like we could possibly be seeing more than one attraction here! Or one rather large attraction, dependant on how close the 2 sites are to one another. (Correct me if I’m wrong, but the two sites are by Tree Fu Tom and Charlie & Lola, aren’t they?)

Should be quite exciting for the area regardless; I wonder what type of attractions these will be?

Also, is it known whether this will require planning permission? Octonauts never had a permit filed, but both the 2017 and 2019 additions to the area did, so I’m not 100% sure.

It's worth noting that Mr Bloom's Allotment could also be lumped into rumours, as according to TS's 2022 speculation page, Mr Bloom has not aired on CBeebies in some time: https://towersstreet.com/future/future-plans/

It looks as though we could be getting 2 CBeebies attractions, though; I wonder what they might be?

Could they relocate Peter Rabbit up to by the Vroomsters and open up a decent site along the back of Cbeebies?

Will be interesting to see what they add - hopefully there will be other 2022 investments elsewhere in the park!

For some idea, I just had a look at CBeebies Land on Google Earth, and the Tree Fu Tom plot is a lot bigger than I'd thought! Even when taking into account the queue, exit path, and a section of the forest and plaza around Octonauts, Tree Fu Tom's plot is at least as big, if not a bit bigger!

I did actually mock up a KML file in Google Earth comparing the two plots; does the forum let you upload files?
EDIT: Here's a photo showing what I mean:

Maybe it’s gonna be a hey duggee or Teletubbies attraction to replace the indoor attraction and Swashbucklers to be the new play ground.

I think you could be on the money with Swashbuckle there. If you were retheming Tree Fu Tom, the existing structures would work well in a pirate theme and the nature of the show lends itself to playground. And as Thameslink Rail said, it looks like new episodes are due to be created for at least the next few years.

Teletubbies already have their own indoor show (Big Band), so the former is more likely. Swashbucklers is a very likely theme for the playground too,as the others have said. :)

With the markings and land clearance, is it remotely possible that the play area may be getting demolished in favour of something brand new? In CBeebies terms, it's a pretty big area, and could house something quite decent! (According to my Google Earth check, it is around 50% larger than Octonauts' total plot, for reference.)

Also, is whatever's going over by C&L likely to be indoors and replacing C&L, or could we be seeing an outdoor attraction?

I don't see why not. Could well be a possibility. I don't really know much about cbeebies land so can't really comment further.

I think we can most likely expect like for like attractions. Think more along the lines of a retheme rather than something new. Whilst the playground is big, it is also a playground and it would be crazy to leave CBeebies Land without a playground.

The markings on the ground are probably from a survey of the underground utilities. Doesn't mean much other than they are doing works in the area and have identified that there are potential utilities that they are at risk of disturbing.

Is Swashbucklers essentially a pirate version of Jungle Run? Love it! Looks like a better theme for the playground too.

Not quite as difficult as the contestants are five but yes pretty much Jungle Run!

Just seen the new section on the website for possible 2022 addition. Very good and gives a clear overview of all the major possibilities: https://towersstreet.com/future/future-plans/
Well done TS team.
Great article that highlights just how much potential the park has. Whilst it’s unreasonable to expect all of these sites to be filled for next season, the park desperately needs at least 1 or 2 additions. I was at the park on Saturday and after we had ridden all the coasters (apart from the Smiler and thirteen which were closed, and Rita because it’s not worth a 100 minute queue), we actually asked ourselves, “what else is there to do?” Back in the day we could have gone on The Boneshaker, Ripsaw, Submission, Dynamo, plus Duel when it was still worth riding.

Comparing that picture of Ripsaw next to a well maintained cafe and bar that someone posted in the Retrosquad thread to the sights we see today of mini golf rotting away, boarded up catering units as if we’re in some sort of zombie apocalypse and prime flat ride sites occupied with a couple of park benches, you quickly realise how far the park has fallen.
