Enterprise Site

I’d think it would be unlikely for a flat ride investment with Duel and potential Sub Terra return, but obviously HUSS have been at Towers at the start of September, and the only rides I can think of that are manufactured by them are Enterprise and The Blade. Possible they were looking at sites?

Honestly, if it is said that HUSS staff have been seen on the park then I'd expect that there would be a deal made to have say two or three new flat rides appear. When this might be I won't know but certainly won't be next season though I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

Honestly, the flat ride situation is at an all time critical level that has to be addressed ASAP and it seems that even Merlin are finally aware of the problem.

They have, HUSS themselves confirmed it at IAAPA, saw it on a YouTube video but i don’t remember which one

There are many reasons why a representative from a company who provides products for theme parks might be at a theme park, particularly if said park has an existing product from and/or relationship with that company.

A sales call is one of those reasons, and that in and of itself doesn't mean Towers are particularly interested right now.

I know I mentioned it before but maybe Merlin have been in talks with HUSS regarding a multi-ride deal much like how Merlin currently have one with B&M?

I understand installing one permanent flat ride would coat a bit but then again so too would building/retracking two B&M coasters be even far more yet it seems maybe Merlin found a way to have both done at a fair price. What if they are planning to attempt the same with HUSS?

I know many with disagree but it is clear that Merlin are aware of the dire flat ride situation that is needed to be sorted out, especially for next year with Nemesis being out capacity has be solved ASAP, even the return of Sub Terra might not be enough.

I honestly suspect that we might get not only the newer model of Enterprise but actually the floor less version of the topspin...oh yes, return of Ripsaw anyone? The reason I'm saying this is that from the strongly hinted return of the HH, Nemesis' overhaul and in some respect if even true, the return of Sub Terra - Towers does seem to be leaning on tapping into the nostalgia market, certainly not the first park to do so. Who would think with this mindset they might announce the return of Ripsaw? Given how that ride was arguable the park's flagship flat ride until it's closure, who's to say that would want to do with perhaps the same for Enterprise too?

Unlikely both or even one would happen for next season, all the budget for 2023 is getting poured into HH it seems, but certainly isn't quite far fetched as one might think. That all said though, even if you were to have both of these rides opened Towers would still have a flat ride problem in which you'd need something for Dark Forrest, something for the Submission site and so forth.

Either way, the sooner I won't have to deal with Retrosquad again on the park the better. 🤮

Really? It was never unpopular (from a support ride perspective), it inverts at a low height requirement. I never tired of the sensation of inverting whilst unrestrained. It is a perfect stepping stone attraction, all the time there are new 8 year olds coming through the gate there is a place for an enterprise.

I think if they were finally going to invest in a brand new flat ride and all they did was get a new enterprise it would be disappointing to say the least.

A suspended top spin would be a dream. Also think re-launching these rides would be marketable to the GP.

Most parks wouldn't count that as investing in a brand new flat ride, just replacing an old one with the same model so basically one up from maintanance.

They should be replacing Enterprise and investing in new rides to replace the other hardware that has been removed over the last ten years.

Yeah they should but we know they don't.

I was going off the premise that they wouldn't add multiple new flat rides so I'd want something better. If there was a plan to replace it with same model and add an additional flat ride too then I have absolutely no issue with that.

This. I honestly think it is far more likely that this what we'd see by just replacing them with the current and slightly tweaked model as say with Enterprise, return of Ripsaw and maybe Blade too?

Even if you'd have Forbidding Valley and X-Sector back up to some form of full strength with a returning Ripsaw and Enterprise, you'd still need another flat ride in an area on the park to help balance the line-up. I strongly suspect we'd see a flat ride in Dark Forrest in the future though given how crap the theming is (with the exception of Thirteen) for that area, any flat ride added there to help with capacity wouldn't really do much to help with how the area looks but that's another story.

There are currently the three retrosquad sites and the Flavio site that could all have new replacement flat rides, plus replacing Enterprise.
On top of using those sites I'm sure they could fit another ride into Dark Forest if they really wanted to and Forbidden Valley.
