Given that most of them just have a single moving part, you'd think it should be pretty easy. I'm sure most of us lot could fix 'em in our spare time, given that we seem to be a creative bunch of crafty types.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were to replace them with some screens, like the rita or new thorpe screens and have more animated/interactive games.
Shame i was hopeing to be able to see more of the construction (although it is hard to see as the quality isnt too good but is that a new sign) looks like it will be Sunday not tomorrow.I went to Alton Towers today, and - to answer my own question from earlier this week - Spinball Whizzer was indeed closed today (but is due to reopen tomorrow, I'm told).
To answer flyingguitar's question: unfortunately, I couldn't see much of the new single-rider queue line because the entire area was blocked off (see photograph attached).
Hopefully, all will be revealed tomorrow, though!

I wouldn't be surprised, it is a ride that seems quite easy to add a single rider queue by adding a 4th set of stairs stealth has 4 sets (although only uses 3 as it dosnt have single rider but it is already mayhem enough with 3 cant imagine it improving with 4
I hope so! Galactica could definitely benefit from an SRQ in my opinion, as it always seems to take a long time to board (which puts me off riding it), and makes it all the more disappointing whenever trains are dispatched with empty seats...
Joined up just to comment on this. Sounds like we were a few people behind you when it started “raining”.I was at the park yesterday. Joined a 40 min queue and when right near the station, it ceased operation. It's not the most reliable ride so decided to wait it out as only 10 ppl ahead of us at this point and had a good run elsewhere that day. Before they announced closure I'd had maybe 2 droplets of rain on my head over 4 mins. To place context on those l, not one waterproof jacket around me had any droplets beading on the surface. This couldnt be classed as enough rain to stop ANY coaster in the UK. Even when staff said it was ceased due to rain we had clear blue skies over us going in a direction where more blue sky was following. The app even said due to weather. After 25 mins of no rain it started up again. Even in the event of rain it hasn't stopped in the past and some will recall it just operates differently (number of riders loaded etc) However this didn't happen. It was really embarrassing.
A couple of people on X have said it's a new policy for 2025 apparently. If that's the case then it's not fit for purpose in a UK theme park.
I can't stress how little rain fell. I could have spit more.
