Or stay at Palace, do well, get recruited to a big club that actually know what they're doing?
That would be the sensible option. When does anyone do that in football these days.

If he doesn't jump to Man U and Arteta only raises his arms this season, I could see him ending up in North London.

Would save moving house. Arteta is to safe, and Arsenal don't play that way.
United under Amorin play Glasners way. Only Glasner can coach it better and can adapt if needs be.
On Glasner, it would interesting to know the conversation with Parrish and Glasner around the whole European de grade. Plus the arguments surrounding selling and recruitment.

I'm convinced that Utd actually have a pretty good squad overall (not saying they couldn't use a couple of signings in key positions). They just need a good coach to set them up properly. That could be a top 8 team quite easily very quickly with the right formation and tactics.

It's the same standard as Palace. The issue is clearly is the coach who main tactic is do Plan A, if that's doesn't work do Plan A but better.
As shown yesterday by a superb Palace side. Plan A, that's worked, go to Plan B. That's almost work, now go to Plan C and off you go.
Palace's only saving grace in relation to Glasner going, is the league position as it stands. BUT, will he trust he will be given the funds to kick on if he achieves top 5 at Palace? At United he can achieve the same and be backed.

Bayern are bad at recruiting managers. Hence why they got a bloke in who relegated Burnley.
Jose did an Alan Partridge at united. Slots family still live in the Netherlands. Not uncommon.
Amron will be gone far earlier than Kompany..Bayern have started very well this season In league and Europe.
The race is on. The red cartel and and all that.
