Obscure UK Parks

Plans for the ambitious holiday park next to Camel Creek introduced by the late John Broome - and which the park have recieved planning permission for - are being replaced with a new plan for up to 1500 homes 😔

Located south west of Tredinnick, the site sits east of the B3274 and has existing planning consent for development as a holiday park. The proposal seeks to build on this by “bringing forward a more sustainable and locally beneficial use of the land, delivering a new garden village designed to meet Cornwall’s pressing housing need”.
The site is absolutely massive, and could have turned the park into a major destination. It's a shame, as the administrators were still commited to the resort plan as of last year, as shown by this planning document.

If approved, I'd imagine it pretty much stifles any significant developments in the theme park.

It's a really poor place for a housing development, there's nothing near it and there is no infrastructure to support what's being proposed. It's all rather poor

It's thought it might be a targeted attack, which is awful, especially as the north east doesn't have much in the way of funfairs. Wonder if the work they will have to do on the place might cut into what they were intending to do at pleasurewood hills.

They're owned by the Sheeran family, not the same people as Pleasurewood Hills (RCDB is incorrect)

Stokes have lent the park some rides over the years including the Crash Test
