Paultons Park: General Discussion

The cars look absolutely stunning! 😍

Will miss the Cobra on the front but does look gorgeous, was kind hoping being called Raven in would have a Raven head on the front of the cars

New topic to discuss...

Where do we think the edge could be moved to within the park?

My guess would be the area next to the teacups as it would then look out over the water.

What's everyone's thoughts?
I believe that area and the area that Valgard doesn't touch by Raging River will be the next areas to focus on.

It is possible for Edge to be relocated there although only negative is that it might block the lake view.

Teacups would the prime ride to be on the chop with it being a fairground aesthetic ride, it being an older ride and from a manufacturer that is now defunct and equivalent to SBF Visa in quality. With Paultons using Mack a lot who produce one of the best teacup style rides, I wouldn't be surprised if we get Mack swapping the current teacups with one of theirs, even if it's a Twist N Splash.

They've stated before Edge will stay where it is for now but does not have a long term future at the park. It does take up a lot of space, you could fit a small coaster and a couple of flat rides in that space. I expect it will be sold once they build a new entrance to the accommodation

I remember them saying they haven't decided on what to do with Edge yet but certainly are considering retiring the ride in the coming years.

A Disko Coaster takes up a very long and narrow space and it would be something small (or something similarly long and narrow). Coaster wise, an Intamin Half Pipe is the likely the most logical they could consider which is very similar.

Flat ride wise, it'd be very tricky as it'd likely be smaller children's flats or compact flats. A Pirate Ship may be one of them.

Not the most scientific method but I've pasted Farmyard flyer, Windmill Towers and Viking boats onto the Edges site at the same scale and they (just about) fit!

I think they could do something good with that spot, fitting Splash Lagoon into the Temple Heights space is a good example. We also don't know how much space the 2027 attraction will take up so could be even more space in this area if it's not using all the space to the east of Cobra / Edge as well as the former Go Kart track

If it is staying in the interim i think they should theme it to Valgard at least loosely.

Also if the accommodation entrance is there they could replicate what Plopsaland have done with the walkway going underneath as it's a really cool visual. They've also helpfully themed it to Vikings too:

Then they can imitate Plopsaland again by getting a statement coaster (bangs drum).
