Welcome - New members introduce yourself here!

Good afternoon everyone, I've just joined up. I'm from Doncaster and I have been going to Alton Towers every year for the last 10 years with my wife and 2 children. We stay in one of the hotels every year and we've never had a bad experience in all the years we've been going.

Welcome! :)

Quite a few of us pop into Towers on our own. I actually enjoy it sometimes as I can just choose the entire day I want to do. Also, who cares what anyone else thinks? ;D Go enjoy yourself I say!!

Hello everyone!

Like many people I have been reading the forum for years but never plucked up the courage to say hello..until now...hello!

I go to ATR twice a year with friends but wish I could go every week! Sadly mileage and work prevent that!

I am visiting ATR this week and have a question if anyone knows the answer? On your tickets page it kindly informs me:

Towers2 Tickets
If, while at the park, you decide that one day simply isn’t enough and you want to return the very next day, you can purchase a Towers2 ticket (formerly known as bounceback) from any Sales & Information desk. This also gives you free access to the Alton Towers Waterpark!

Does anyone know if the next day tickets still gives you free entry to the waterpark or if you now need to purchase the waterpark tickets individually? I have always bought both!

Anyway, lovely to meet you all. The site is great...keep up the good work!

Hello!
My name is Ellis and I reallllly love Alton towers, well, theme parks in general so thought I would join here as it seems like a good forum! Can't think of anything else to say, so yeah, Hi! :p

Hi. I'm not sure if people will remember me but I used to post on the other forum under the usernames Dorsia and then Anthony.

Other things in life took precedence over my interest in theme parks and, frankly, I had a lot of growing up to do. I still do, no doubt, but I am basically a different person from who I was then. I still really like theme parks and this community, whatever it is named, was always the best despite arguments and all the rest. This is the community for enthusiasts in the UK, no two ways about it.

I am here to be a part of that again...hello! :D

Thanks Jonathan :) I'm sure I remember seeing Noo Noo about back then as well!

I used to go by the name of 'formula1fan', but when TowersStreet was formed, I decided to use my real name as my username. I felt that I could do with a bit of a fresh start, and the new site and forum gave me the chance to do that.

And the whole NooNoo story is a bit weird, but suffice to say that according to one of the many people called Dan on this site, my breathing down the microphone of a cheap headset while on Skype sounds like NooNoo... :p

It's been a while, but hello to all the new members, hope you are all settling in well (the majority of us don't bite).

Helloooo I have nooooo idea what I'm doing okay? Okay.

Welcome to the forum! I'm sure you'll fit right in and have fun posting :)
Thank you :D I mean I'll try but I've never been able to figure forums out :/

The more you post, the more you get used to them. I was relatively unaware of forums before signing up for one and now I use them nearly every day. It may take time but you'll figure it out eventually! :)

^ Pretty much that. My first forum was TTF, and then I moved on to here, and it was a good learning experience because almost everyone on here and on there is very nice and relaxed, and now I'm completely comfortable with using forums.

Also welcome to the site.

Hello.:) I only just found you lot after my annual trip to the Towers. I love going. I remember when you went to AT for the gardens and Skyride so that gives a hint to my age. I've got two girls who are big enough for Sonic and 13 but not for anything else. Next years trip will see me introducing the older one to all the big rides. ( she was so disappointed she didn't grow enough for this year). My two are really put off by the scary theming in several areas. Hex is a big no go. We stayed at the Chained Oak and they wouldn't come and find the Oak with me. I can thoroughly recommend the Chained Oak BTW.
