I'm not begrudging compensation at all they all deserve all the money they can get.

What gets my goat is the fact an Ambulance chaser has almost arrived at the hospital before they did with the sole purpose to make him money, he doesn't give a jot about the victims.
I've been in this situation when my old man got wiped out by a lorry, we as a family were more worried about his well being than appointing a lawyer.
Yes one did get appointed down the line and he got a big payout as he was left with brain damage but it was weeks before we even thought about it.

If he doesn't shut up and start acting professionally all sympathy will be lost both with the general public and merlin.

Thats assuming £1m would be left in the bank to gain interest. I would imagine a hefty outlay at the very start to pay for equipment, adapted car, rehab costs etc. And yes, Dave, your correct, having a leg amputated doesnt mean you wont walk again.
It's a good job they are after £2m then :p

Another ride down. Hope no injuries

Good to see the park still has payphones. I thought they'd all been removed.

The station video has been edited...

Welcome to the Unknown
Welcome... (pause) to Oblivion

It's not poorly edited, still such as shame though... :(

Second set of videos by the vending machines has no audio playing...

They did a video for air, nemesis and oblivion. Maybe their not safe.
Make me laugh so much if the media says anything about this because it sounds like something they would do to make a story though it is in no way connected.

I could sell it to the mirror.
BREAKING NEWS

Evil presenters from children's tv show blue Peter helped build death-trap. Responsible for life-ruining injures suffered by teenagers.

(Sorry just trying to show how tabloids exadurate everything, not trying to say anything about the injures of the people on the ride)

I've actually left my sticker on my car and have already had a passer by say how dare I have it there and that it's disrespectful.

Doubt I will remove it in my car, don't really think it's a bad omen or anything... it's a sticker.

I've still got my sticker in the car, and I see no real point in removing it - like you said, it's just a sticker. My parents did talk about possibly removing it, but they didn't think it was worth getting rid of.

I have one on the back and one on the front. My dad asked me "aren't you going to take those off?" I said why?

Still got my car sticker in the car and I have another one for sale on ebay for £4000 because its limited edition now lol

On the subject of merchandise, hypothetically speaking (as none of us know what the future will bring), what do you think they would do with such a bulk of excess merchandise if they did change the theme or something even more drastic?

Well I've just got home from my first day at AT since April. As I queued at the entrance this morning I felt a little more reticent than usual. The number of guests was small and the atmosphere subdued. When I got in the park, the atmosphere did not feel the same and I was concerned that the magic would not be there.

I needn't have worried. By late morning a sizeable crowd had arrived, the atmosphere was great and the one and only Nemesis had hit the spot as it goes every single time. It flew round the track and was silky smooth.

Had a great day. The staff were professional, the rides well run and gave me my adrenaline fix, yet I never for one moment felt in any real danger.

Well done to AT for a great day. As far as I am concerned the magic is still there. My sympathies go to the crash victims and there families for what was an awful ordeal, but I belief we have a giant, First class Theme park with great attractions and at least 3 world class coasters one of which is world beating. I believe it is statistically very safe and hope that lessons will be learned to make it still safer.
