Still looking slow there. If it reopens without reprofiling then I can't see a situation where you could have a train on the lift hill before that section was cleared.

It still looks slow towards the end of the first section, preying for it opening on the 25th but not holding my breath

It does @kris3012

@Alloygaming AT have been saying that to everyone, is a quick multi purpose adjective that doesn't give any information. I wouldn't take much notice of the Twitter team either, they are extremely helpful but they go off a script. Plus AT will be playing all their cards as close to their chest as possible right now & trying not to give anything away.

I also can't see the rumours of a 25th re-opeing being true either. Surely nobody blabbed within AT, they're extremely intelligent & the only way for something to leak from the inside is for them to have let it leak or they've really peeved somebody important off:sweatsmile: However both are possible.

Nonsense the ride system works perfectly and was not the cause(as far as we know). If it were to stall again the car would stop on the lift hill and the ride op would have to go outside and flick the switch on the new box to restart the ride it is practically impossible (unless the ride op is blind) for it to happen again. The only issue I can see is if it stalls with people on it.

They're unlikely to want a situation with a stalled train and a stopped train on the lift hill because of the potential panic and inevitable media latching that would occur.

Same panic and media coverage if it stalls! I think it would just be stupid to do that as it poses no risk to safety and would destroy through put.

Couldn't agree more @Tom, granted the accident is even more unlikely to now than ever before but I personally think a stalled train with people on would cause so much panic that it would do just as much damage as the initial accident.

Reactions: Tom
The risk to safety is irrelevant, public relations and media coverage is extremely sensitive and potentially damaging at the moment.

Throughput is not a concern as the ride will be so unpopular when it first reopens (and possibly for a long time afterwards).

Couldn't disagree more. The train not being sent would show how towers have solved the problem. Also I don't think the ride will be that unpopular. It won't be as popular but with all of the people asking on Facebook when it will open and it will become a sort of added thrill for some people or even a challenge for teens to show off.

I disagree with it being unpopular for a long time afterwards but @Tom is spot on with the rest of what he's saying.
For a train to stall anywhere on the track would cause mass panic for the people on the trains & create a prime opportunity for the media to cause even more lasting damage.

It would definitely cause panic but would the location of the next train really matter that much? The focus is going to be the stalled train.
