Have they? Since all the rides on one side of that park have yet to open, several of which in one form or another the park have stated in the past two weeks were due to be open, I think it is unlikely to be Covid-19 related.

The two most likely options would be lack of staff or saving some money.
I mean people in general not this forum in particular

They seem to have taken what Alton have said about TH13TEEN (Distancing issues) and assumed it applies to Rita.

Clearly Th13teen has been shut for the superstitious.
People fear its bad luck and might contract the virus.

I know Rita doesn't have the best throughput, but I'm hoping it at least takes a bit of strain off of the other rides queues. So all we have closed now are the 5 indoor attractions and Thirteen, all of which are understandable.

Literally everything helps!

I understand the reason for Thirteen being closed (well I understand it as to why it can't open, I just don't understand the system) but what was the reason for Rita being closed? Was there something not ready, or was it to do with COVID-19 procedures?
It's impossible for Thirteen to operate with the social distancing rules in place as it needs a minimum of 18 guests per train in order to clear the second lift hill (the trains get stuck otherwise and staff have to push them), which is more than half the train. It's not possible with social distancing unfortunately. Rita was closed due to technical issues I think, should be back open soon.

I find Duel a bit strange what with Tomb Blaster being in operation at Chessington. Maybe they could get measures in place for it to re-open? Maybe only let so many people into the building until they've loaded and queue everyone else (when it has one) in the extended queue? I don't know how feasible it is, but just a thought.

Not all are understandable, I really thing Duel should be open. It would be easy to hold guests outside to lessen the number in the small indoor section of queue. I don't think cleaning is a big issue either, just use sanitiser or wash your hands after going on the ride, touching the gun is no different to touching the trolley or basket at the supermarket or the restraint on the rollercoasters.

At the moment keeping Hex closed feels like it makes sense as its harder to judge distance between you and other groups in the dark, but with mask enforcement that should be OK I guess if they really wanted to open it.
The kids shows such as Cookie Monster Hotel should be able to run if its worth performing to small more spaced out groups. But Justins house has too much running about and kids can't be trusted not to get too close etc.

BPB managed to run all their dark ride, unless its really the touching the gun thing and they just have to enforce hand cleaning when people get off. Of you could turn the guns off and put them out of use.
