Plopsaland De Panne General Discussion

On board audio you'd think is a given. I just hope they have planned it through. Tomorrowland is an incredibly popular brand in that area but im not sure the typical guest who go to Plopsa land are into it much. Isn't it an 18+ festival too?

It is an 18+ I think yes. One thing I do think the coaster will have in its favour are night rides. I’d imagine they will have plenty of lighting and special effects that will all come together for a fantastic night ride.

As much as I haven't a clue what relevance Tomorrowland will have to your Plopsa guest, I do think this is the most exciting coaster project in Europe for 2021. As much as I am certain the Walibi coaster will be higher on those top coaster lists, and the Vekoma at Energylandia looks sensational - I am simply thrilled we're getting these coaster vehicles in Europe.

I rode Time Traveler at Silver Dollar City during opening year and the trains are simply beautiful. Elegant, comfortable and of the highest build quality.

The fact these are 45 minutes drive from Calais is wonderful.

I’ve got to admit, although the theming looks fantastic and will probably be pulled off really well, I’m not actually that sure on the theme itself; it seems like a bit of an odd fit for a park like Plopsa, who seem to be more aimed at families and young kids on the whole.

Although I admit I’d never actually heard of Tomorrowland until this was announced, and initially thought it was something to do with the themed areas at Disney parks; I was very confused...

Indeed. It is very odd.

But, you know, this ride shall be great.

Of course; I have high hopes for the ride itself! I love Icon, and the XTREME Spinner looks brilliantly unique, so with the unique layout this looks to have, it should be quite the ride!

I would have thought the ride and theme would have been far better suited to Holiday park than Plopsa, then again I know it’s a Belgium festival.

I think a general Mack spinner (eg Toverland, Paultons) would have suited the park and market more, not that I’m complaining, just find it odd for the park and market.

As if this ride and it's theme wasn't crazy enough, it turns out the ride soundtrack is being composed by none other than acclaimed film score composer Hans Zimmer!

Tomorrowland will also create an exclusive soundtrack based on the Tomorrowland Hymn composed by Hans Zimmer that will be played during the ride.

This seems to suggest on board audio. Fantastic if so!

Maybe the laws surrounding seatbelts on rides are different in Belgium?

Something I find very interesting is how similar these trains look to the ones on Time Traveler! Not a bad thing at all, as I love Time Traveler’s train design, but I just thought it was an interesting thing to note!

Excellent to see that this will indeed have onbaord audio! Other than that it does look like the same train design as Time Traveler, which of course is not a bad thing.

I think it's been confirmed that they are exactly the same base design. Which is weird but suits the steampunk aspect.

Certainly going to be a weird ride though.

After its initial test launches the other day, the ride has now entered full testing.

WOW, it really whips round that doesn't it!

looks fantastic! Great pacing and this is just its testing period, can’t wait to try it. With this and Konda I’d say Europe has two of the best additions in the world this year

This coaster will be excellent - layout wise better than T/T. The drop on T/T is incredible, especially at the back of the train. This has the same drop but positioned during the layout.

Can't wait. The trains alone are a thing of beauty,
Out of interest, are the trains on Time Traveler similar to those of the regular Mack launch coasters, or do they differ in some way?
