Off topic slightly, I know, but why did you have a camera on the ride?

As for the topic at hand, it's nice to see them back in action.

The musters do look great!
Quick question, the speakers housed in the metal units outside of the Rehydrator, I've never noticed them before but since they've been working on the Smiler, and cutting down some foliage they've revealed themselves again. What exactly do they play? Is it the ambient audio from Oblivion's queue line?

Is this ambient audio within X-Sector the one which sounds like machinery operating?

Pretty much. It's just random noise really, the occasional horn going off and metal pipes being dropped on the floor.

I think there are 2 different background tracks which are played around oblivion because in the lower part of the queue line you can hear things like "prisoner 4082 is breaching the perimeter fence. This is a restricted zone" it's very subtle and not everyone would pick up on it.

Looks like we could really be seeing what the rest of the area looks like in the game. If so I will be over the moon they are doing this! :)

*fires up the game for first time in months to take a look*

Agreed, if they go with the stripes it will me much improved! :D

Paint it black! Not orange! Black! Black! Black!

And after you've painted the outside, do this to the inside please... (Extremely wishful thinking)

What's this about stripes?

Please, Rehydrator is one of Oblivion's thematic elements and does not need changing to fit with The Smiler.

What it does need is restoring to its original glory with BLACK pipes!

The game showed the whole building painted black and I think it would look much better like that. Although paint straight on to concrete, especially black paint, doesn't always look good. Really they should clad the whole thing again. Also the 'stripes' shown in the game were more like thin orange rings, likening it to Oblivion more than the Smiler.

Whatever they do, get rid of the current colours. The Smiler can get away with a lot of bright yellow because, with all that track, black remains the dominant colour. It looks good. But bright orange on a cream building...? It's pretty yucky and not stylish in the slightest.

Today they were painting parts of it white, but that looked more like a undercoat, I think they might have painted some bits back to the creamy colour it was before. However the pipes are yet to be painted.

The lower level of Rehydrator was a walk in Cola bar at one point and did have all those bubble effects and stuff, but it was ripped out so they could sell other things that just Cola.

It is so nice seeing it getting the attention it needs.

I really hope they update the horrific signage on the Rehydrator.

But yeah, it's so great seeing it getting some attention.

Sorry to be a bit random but I'm looking for the photo of the new signs on the X-Sector toilets, I tried searching the forum but I can't find it now! Can anyone help?
