Disagree, that final turn feels a little more laboured but that’s maybe because it rattles in that section a little. It takes all the main elements with good speed, not dissimilar to its old self. But that’s only my experience after one ride so who knows.

Just had my first ride on Nemesis Reborn, and it’s basically as Nemesis as Nemesis ever was despite one thing… it has a rattle. It also went down for 20-30 minutes to add the second train. However both trains were only loading the first 4 rows, so seems like it’s not just a train issue maybe...

It’s just opened, teething issues are to be expected. I remember riding Wicker Man with half the rows cordoned off. These things take time.

I think they raised the bar with Wicker Man, this is really the first big money project since that. I’m glad to see it looks like they are sticking to the same level if not better. Edit- there is a lot to like about Curse too.

Whilst I agree with that sentiment in some ways, I don’t really think it applies to this situation. There has been a pretty obvious change across the majority of the UK merlin parks over this closed season, a noticeable shift compared to previous years I’d say.

Took me some time to appreciate what Wicker Man was for the park. I’ve always wanted the park to get a woodie and a large scale one at that, but we got Wicker Man. I now understand its place in the park and how import an investment it was. It’s barrels of fun for all.

I guess it depends on if they will use the original sections of the queue as a shortcut on quiet days. They did that in recent years when the extension past the first drop wasn’t needed after covid

It’s very very impressive to look at. I wish there was a plaza/bar area where you could sit and watch the ride operate. But when it comes to engineering it has its flaws, the fact it’s trying to pull itself out the ground shows that. But it is amazing how they managed to fit that amount of track...

The new Thorpe Park logo really showed its flaws on The Sun’s promotional poster, it just sunk into the background and became almost unnoticeable unless looking for it.
