Best and Worst theme parks to get to by public transport

Personally, I've got public transport to LWV on several occasions from York and it's not impossible but it does involve a couple of changes. However it is worth it :)

    Winter Wonderland 2012

Personally, I love Winter Wonderland and admire everyone involved in putting the event together - it's a massive effort which is amazing and it also has a great atmosphere. Yes it is expensive but given everything that goes into it, I think it's worth it. Air, Power Tower & Wilde Maus XXL are...

    Long Journey Club

When I come on my own I travel by coach which takes 3-4 hours but usually I make the most of it and stay a few days :)

What rides turn your trousers brown?

The only ride that has made me nervous beforehand were the Air Diver that used to be on the end of Brighton Pier, mainly because it went over the sea but once it began, I enjoyed it. Also KMG's Mission Space, the massive star flyer type travelling ride which has very open seating, lap bars and...

    Poor York dungeon/new Berlin dungeon.

I hope the York Dungeon re-opens as I really enjoyed my visit there and the actors were fantastic. Even though it's only small, it packs a lot into what space there is. If it did close the current location, then I hope Merlin would find them a new home :)

    What's your local park?

I've heard of the Twinlakes event before and would like to go but sadly I don't think I'll get an opportunity. Anyway, my local park would probably be Brighton Pier as I live fairly close, other than that Thorpe and Chessington :)

    Worlds worst theme parks

I've also been to Rainbow's End and I personally enjoyed my day there - it may not have the most amazing rides but their drop tower was probably my favourite :-) I can't really think of a park I've visited that I haven't liked but there are ones I've loved more than others.

    Drop Towers

I also love drop towers, as well as giving a thrill in a short time, they also allow a nice view of the park they're in. Some of my favourites include Scream, Atmosfear at Liseberg, Detonator and Giant Drop :-)

    York Dungeon

I really liked the York Dungeon when I went last month and a couple of the actors were particularly good. Although I visited mid afternoon and the group was smallish, I'm sure it does get busy as it's also in a good location :)
