So, I just came out of Daz Games: Panic. First of all, I don't think the Daz Black branding is a problem at all; in fact it's probably the best bit. I know most people here probably haven't ever watched the guy, but the narrative fit well and made sense. It wasn't shoehorned in. Neither do I...

Just got back the hotel after a looooong day. Gonna drop an overall review with spoilers ahead. Overall I'm pretty impressed with how operations handled everything today, especially how with how busy it was. I spoke to a couple of Ride Ops saying it was at capacity which I'm not surprised...

I'd have loved too if I didn't have to align schedules with my whole family!

Ride Access Pass Systems and Disabled Access (pre 2024)

To me, after visiting the clear problem is not RAP. I love that towers are inclusive to everyone especially with the disabilities they accept. The problem, is when each person seems to have almost 5-6 others with them. Now, I appreciate they should absolutely have a carer or maybe two depending...

Nemesis: Advertised 40. Was about 65-70 Duel was about 10. Never actually seen it with that before... Then had Lunch. Had an hour until mazes and then thought we can't do any coaster otherwise we'll miss the mazes. Hex took 35 mins ish Mazes were then another 2 hours block in which Attic...

    General Queue Times Discussion

Queues were horrendous today. Went to Liseberg last week and it was an absolute joy. I'd much rather go less, and pony up to go there as it's literally as easy for me I'm kinda done with AT after the last few visits. Queued have been dire post covid.

Hope you enjoy it, but if they gave an option, I'd have two goes on Mine Tours in a heartbeat. Going in with the expectation of a scare zone is probably my best advice.

Yeah, I just did Toxic Junkyard. Not dark enough and it was awful. Shame really, considering the other ones are actually solid. It's just too light to early. It's a scam they're selling it to folk in the afternoon.

Missed last year, but I just did Mine Tours and thought it was much much better than pre-covid. It's far longer than pre-covid and the scenes are really good!

Yeah, unfortunately on the day we're going there aren't any later slots. Expecting Toxic Junkyard to be kinda trash...

So I'm a little confused on how maze ticket timings work. If we buy a ticket at 4:15 how long do we have to do all the mazes? I don't want to be doing Toxic Junkyard at 5. Thanks!

The Alton Towers Music, Video and Other Multimedia Thread

I honestly think New Towers St and The Heritage themes are the best in the park and better than their predecessors. I would like to see less IMAScore and more original artists from the local area but hey, IMAScore don't make bad tunes so who am I to say.

    2020: General Discussion

Truthfully I think you just gotta take it as it comes. If you're an hour away from the park and have a MAP then you can probably afford the half a day out, especially when people haven't had a proper day out in ages. However of your further away, or don't have a MAP, it probably isn't worth it...

I answered the above in a similar way. There aren't many UK theme parks that offer late riding AND scare mazes like Merlin. BPB Scare Attractions always seem lacking and as great as Tulley's is I can't ride WM in the dark there. Wish I could have written an essay lol

    2019: General Discussion

I'm never getting a paper ticket again. By the time I was ready for SubSpecies my ticket had almost crumbled due to the rain. Not recommended.

Brother my first SS run was 5 minutes because there were no actors and I happened to go the right way the first time. Honestly most of my group took 10. I guess you could chill in there for 30 minutes but you'd have to REALLY try.

It kinda got a bit off topic. Maybe partially my fault. To get it back on topic. I'm bloody deperate to get back to the resort but fear I won't have time... My run on SS was dreadful and I really want another shot. Therefore I feel like I'm one of the only people who want it to return next...

Either way, the specifics don't really matter. What matters is there is reasonable reasons to choose to shut down the ride and whoever was responsible didn't want the risk and chose the safe option last night and I think that's commendable especially when you risk unhappy customers.

It has been actually pretty good up until this point I think queue wise. Definitely also got quicker after about 3pm on Friday because I think people have up with the constant rain.
