It’s a disgrace the state of River Caves exterior. They should never have removed the dinosaurs & other theming that used to be there (see my avatar). Nobody seems to know why all that was removed.
This is one of my concerns, that the character of the place is being eroded bit by bit. North...
Like Wild Mouse being removed ‘to make way for exciting future developments’ which turned out to be a bar which is rarely open?
It’s another ride gone with no word on what it will be replaced with, possible not even another ride.
Hilarious that on the email, behind that Elite car, the picture really shows off the rust & red Traumatizer paint on Infusion.
What will they put in GP’s place though? I can’t imagine the park without that track spiral. Is it a big enough space to put anything? It had better not be replaced by...
It’s an absurd price to go on a ride that hasn’t been any good for years, witness some ‘entertainment’ and ogle ‘grid girls’. I agree that £20 would be a lot more realistic. Do the park have any idea that we’re in a cost of living crisis?
Another thing worth pointing out is that the throughout...
£50 to ride Grand Prix again before it closes. Absolute joke, what a disgrace. Just open it for a few more weeks to let people ride it for what they’ve already paid. Sorry, but I call BS on this. The park should be ashamed of this. It looks like the rest of the park will be shut. £50 for a ride...
Surely (hopefully) related to a new ride. If GP will be given any kind of send off with final rides, I’d like to think they’d at least announce it in good time so people can make plans. Not holding my breath though
Edit: Whoops, just noticed the ‘final time’ bit. Surely Grand Prix related then...
It’s hardly a ‘change of subject’ as (in case you didn’t already know) some people seem hellbent on returning to this topic over and over. It’s a family business and will surely remain so until whoever is in charge at any given point abdicates / decides they CBA anymore. I can’t see it leaving...
Read with interest all comments so far. Each to his own, but a queue of up to 4 hours for an 'opening day cred' (or 2 hours to enter a shop) doesn't interest me whatsoever. I'd rather visit on an off peak midweek day when I'll get on it in a matter of minutes. I don't think this info has been...
Totally agree with this. Never seen the appeal of coasters with a silly number of inversions. By silly I mean say more than 5 or 6 at most. Some of my favourite coasters don’t have any at all.
Not all of us are blessed with iron stomachs, I wouldn’t fancy the chances of your good self, my good...
I’m surprised they don’t try and get away with just calling it 100.
I must say the ‘More to experience’ signs around Blackpool are laughable given that there is actually less to experience in the seaside amusement park than there has been for some time.
Someone told me early last season that a staff member (who I understand is no longer one) had told them that it would be the last season for Grand Prix & Ice Blast. I took it with a pinch of salt, but todays it’s confirmed that Grand Prix won’t open this season (and likely never will again), and...
Same ****, different year. Default opening day shenanigans it seems. I never bother with opening weekend. I’m quite happy to sit back and watch the carnage unfold!
It’s utterly absurd and I’ll go as far to say a disgrace that the walk round pass hasn’t returned. There will always be those who don’t want to ride - parents, grandparents, etc, but want to take along those who do.
These people will still buy food and drink once inside, so to turn them away...
