A front row queue was more appropriate on Nemesis as your view is pretty much blocked unlike the other coasters, especially if your in a middle seat. With the small size the front queue had and narrow entrance though I'm guessing they removed it to not halt the main queue like others have said.
As much as I like the ride I agree the projection is pretty jarring and not well implemented, especially seen as there used to be a third physical flying head there and now there's two.
Don't forget The Haunted House had a new team of technicians brought in to rework several effects in its first year, as well as issues with the transit system, so it's nothing new can just take time for large scale dark rides to bed in and curse had a lot of drastic changes in a short time.
I think the problem is the narration as chances are you aren't going to go through at the start of it so is pretty redundant. The focus should just be on the dolls house effect, show don't tell.
I think that's true that certain things trigger in sections, I once had the small spiders, dolls and giant spider not activate but saw them working for the car behind.
They used to sponsor Brainiac Science Abuse on Sky One. They were strange split screen comparisons between ad breaks, one was which is faster a guy eating a fry or Rita launching. Another had the tipping bucket at Cariba Creek split against something else.

No idea where the extended version towers used came from though.
I get the appeal, I used to like the interactive element in Duel when I was younger, there are just way better examples of that kind of ride since and even before Duel opened. I'd even go as far as saying the interactivity was better implemented in Golden Nugget Shootout at Drayton Manor, at...
I think we should be asking for an all new modern shooting dark ride to fill that gap at some point in the future rather than to have kept Duel going indefinitely, it was pretty outdated.
The original Haunted House had changes within the first few months and going into its second year and was considered a sucess from the outset. Hex had negative feedback with its original preshows and is now considered one of the best dark rides in the UK.
Does anyone remember Black Hole? Originally it was a Huss Swirl ride in the dark I think, but when I went on it was an indoor dodgems where all the cars had a button that did...something. There was also a static figure of an alien in one corner. The operator explained something at the start but...
Thanks for sharing the video, I only had vague memory of the watermill inside Nightmare Niagara and forgot how big it was. I also remember the animated skeletons working to the banjo music  Its's a shame what happened to American Adventure, I remember queuing outside the entrance in...
I can only really think of Hex & Valhalla as other still existing good dark rides in the UK, maybe River Caves if they spruce it up and I've never been on Spirit of London but that looks decent as well. I really like what they did with Curse and it shows original IP dark rides can still be a...
