2015: Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure

Is this opening this year? or next year? why haven't we seen the planning permits 2 years early like we did with The Smiler?
As mentioned on a huge number of occasions in this topic, the area this coaster will reside in does not require planning applications to be submitted in order for it to be built.
It will very much open this year, and I certainly hope it is ready for March and not April or May.

I would expect this to open in March. It's a fairly small coaster that should go up pretty quickly. I don't see any reason why it would take longer unless some unexpected major issues arise (unlikely to happen).
Would make sense to open this in March so from April/May marketing can focus more on the Enchanted Village and the Treetops course.

As mentioned before, I believe this is due to if it was announced now, some families will be expecting it open for FHT, then being disappointed when they see only half of it is up! I would expect advertising after FHT.Then why hasn't it been announced? I mean the lodges don't open in March, and they've been announced.
Gosh Alton you do confuse me. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

It will almost certainly open in March with the rest of the park, well at least it should. If it doesn't then they're just being lazy, doesn't take that long to put up and theme a small kids coaster.

It'll be a simple ride to make, sure. But I still feel that for one reason or another, it won't be open for opening.

Just to add to Tom.B's post, I would assume over February half term there will be posters and advertising on park for the new kids roller coaster. This will also push families who do visit for CBeebies Land to buy return tickets and plan a second trip to the theme park later in the year when this coaster arrives.

Is this year a major development year?
I mean do we even know when the next large attraction is expected?
As far as I am aware this year is a small investment year for the theme park (resort budget it separate, clearly a lot is being spent there). The next large investment year will be 2017.

Can't see them not making opening on this. Most of the theming will be made off site and will just need placing around the ride. All they need to do is bolt the ride together, electrics, build a platform and queue.
I would imagine the advertising for this will be mainly on-park, social media and news outlets. They might re-run the CBeebies TV advert with a small insert about the coaster.

As CBeebies Land and Sonic is open during half term, I imagine there will be big banners around the construction site for Feb half term, it also wouldn't surprise me if posters on Towers Street have it coming soon. Then I think in March the old CBeebies Advert will be back but mentioning the new coaster.

I am still a bit confused about manufacturer of this coaster.
My bets are either Zierer or even S&S as they have a junior coaster and a junior El Loco, which we haven't seen track for as neither has been built.
I am quite excited for this addition as Towers have needed a replacement for The Beastie for quite some time now.
Whatever the outcome I am sure it will bring a lot of people back to CBeebies Land which isn't a bad thing in my view.

What?
as in photos from the air, there was lots of the smiler being built. I thought that since the track etc was on site they might have started fitting it and someone would have some pictures

The aerial photos were all done by plane, either by "MI7" or Tatenhill Aviation. Quadcopters haven't fared too well on park thusfar
