2015: Tree Top Quest

I really like the sound of this, I think it could take off better than Extraordinary Golf, which isnt hard to beat I know. The only thing I don't like is the name!

And this is why I always have said and always will say that Alton Towers is a resort and deserves to be called one. From this season onwards especially there is more than enough for them to be called a resort. You won't find many non Disney or Universal parks/resorts with as much variety in what you can do.

It's unquestionable that Towers is a resort, and 2015 will only enhance that status. Naturally it still has quite a few elements to be added to make it perfect for us, but significant progress is certainly being made.
 
Just a thought, with it being called 'Enchanted Village' Tree Top Quest, could this mean it would only be available for Enchanted Village guests? Or do we think it's just to market it more.

It's more than likely just to market it.

Definitely not. They're calling it that as it is part of the Enchanted Village development and shares the same theme. It will clearly be open to all.

It's called "Enchanted Forest", not "Village". ;) So you have the Enchanted Forest next to the Enchanted Village. Just a nice way to link both under the same theme. If the village gets an expansion on the remaining field too then the Tree Tops attraction will fit in even more with that part of the resort complex.

Im sure its a nice area, but the resort still needs a more significant entertainment area. The two bars at the hotels are far from perfect and ATH bars shut early to prevent noise meaning everyone has to head over to Splash. I find this far ideal and think that in order to make it a proper resort, they need to address this by putting in a proper bar, with plenty of seating and keep it open until late, freeing up the other bars to close earlier and concentrate on their themes more. Margs being mainly for kids and ATH being the more sophisticated area for adults.

I've gone off topic I know, but this is kinda about future hotel developments...

Just like Splash Landings and Cariba Creek were nicely linked. :)

... Expect this to be renamed "The MERLIN ALTON TOWERS RESORT High Ropes Course" within a few years.

You have a point, but the names work. Tree Fu Tom is the name of the show so they can't really go changing that. Tree Top Adventure makes sense as it is within the tree tops or so to speak, and so is the Tree Top Quest.
