The Tory manifesto wasn't budgeted either, and they're continuing to borrow, but okay.

Personally I'm rather excited to see what the SNP do re independence. I think it was a stupid decision by Boris to rule out another referendum - it'll just play into the hands of the SNP.

Give the SNP their second referendum.

If they vote in favour of independence then fair enough, and best of luck to them (they're less affluent than the UK as a whole so in theory it would work well for the rest of us).

If they vote against, again, as I'd anticipate they would then it will kill the issue off once and for all. Potentially it would kill the entire SNP off in the process.

Feel quite relaxed about the result, it's not the one I wanted, nor is it the one I think will best serve the country, but it is what it is - that's the way democracy goes.

I don't think it will be a straightforward or healing 5 year term, but I suspect that might have been the case irrespective of who won.

I think it's conceivable that Scotland could depart if there was another referendum, but I think the SNP would have to spell out a path back into the EU - which is tricky. The make up of the Irish seats is also a concern now, for unionists.

I'll always debate fiercely, if required. That said, I am far more likely to be antagonistic and forthright (imagine that...) with someone who won't engage and is ill informed, than I would be with someone who has a well informed opinion that I disagree with.

I'm sure one of the main reasons Scotland voted to remain in the UK was being told they'd leave the EU and not be able to join independently... Then of course our referendum happened.

There is potential with the right drive in both countries that Scotland leaves and Ireland reunifies. Especially if NI are left out to dry with any Brexit deal.

I cant ever see reunification of Ireland

A couple of people have said they’re going to move to Rust. I know they’re probably joking, but it is worth pointing out that Europa Park is currently recruiting British staff. You earn a bit more than the British minimum wage, get cheap accommodation (about 150 euros a month, including all bills), a free bike rental, free park entry, free tickets for other theme parks, and a free three course meal in the park’s canteen (well, those have been the perks this year. The job advert doesn’t actually list the perks for 2020). This might be your last chance to do it, as visas could get a lot tougher once we’re outside the EU, at least if you want to work for longer than three months.

AFAIK if Scotland leave it will be in the style of an Independent Autonomous Terrority like how Greeland and Denmark work, Sark, Isle of Man etc.

After Greenland voted to leave the EU, the EU threw a hissy fit and changed their criteria to stop IATs joining, or leaving on their own.

So erm, they can't leave, and if they do, they then don't meet the criteria to join the EU.

But let's not let the truth get in the way of SNP hype.

Yep if you live in London village or a university city you were bound to vote labour.

I don't think there was any disagreement over the split. It's just the motives for the split.
