I think Alton Towers got it right when designing the Waterpark at Splash Landings. The slides there (as far as I can tell) are all coloured in a sandy-brown / tan colour that blends in with all the other theming and landscaping of the Waterpark.
But in honesty, those slides for Rulantica look absolutely fine. In comparison to what the vast majority of water slides look like, some of them don’t look too bright. I’m sure it’ll look fine when it’s completed with additional theming and landscaping, etc.

I quite like garish coloured water slides, although I suppose they are more suited to tropical themed waterparks.
No real concerns with them for me, and I would imagine they want the slides to stand out to some extent so that those passing by en route to Europa-Park realise that there is a waterpark!

“In keeping with the stormy weather, the largest slide part of the "Tornado Wave" floated on the #Rulantica construction site today. Compliment to the whole team! #einfachkannjeder #construction #wasserpark #macksolutions”
Europa Park also posted some pictures today of the slide being lowered in through the roof into the Glacier Temple section of the water park!

Sorry if this has already been covered, but what are the key differences between the new accomodation at Europa Park and the Star Gazing Pods at Alton Towers?
It will probably be cheaper to stay at EP for a week.

You can sample some excellent beers and cocktails in the hotel bar. Alternatively, queue an hour for one single staff member to serve you a pint of Stella before the bar closes at 11pm in a different accommodation entirely.

There’s now a lot more information available on the EP website about Rulantica, its themed areas, pricing et cetera. There’s information we already knew and also some new snippets, such as:
- No annual pass is planned
- No discount for Club Card holders
- Only full day tickets available
- Hotel guests get one hours ERT in the morning
- If day tickets are available they will be €4 more than online price
- There will be a shuttle bus from the hotels every 15 minutes at opening and closing; every 30 minutes at other times
An interesting read to have it all in one place:

Really feels like things are moving rapidly, with the construction of the outdoor section of Rulantica now well underway!
“#ConstructionUpdate : In the future outdoor area of #Rulantica. There is also an outdoor pool. The "Frigg Temple" is for those who like to splash, relax on a deck chair or enjoy a drink at our swim-up bar.”
