This! Everything this! The reason I love Europa MORE than Disney is that its not perfect like Disney (?) but has a lot of charm - and this is evident in it's traditional dark rides which are a bit dated, but dated as long as it's LOVED can be a beautiful thing. I love that Europa is always on the pulse yet connects so well with its past - Literally very few attractions have been removed in its 40+ years unlike say Thorpe which is completely unrecognisable.

Europa wouldn't be the park it is without it's collection of dark rides and secondary attractions.

and as for Disney rip offs - why not I say haha, original ideas are excellent, but so is seeing something being a success and wanting a bit of the same action!

I quite like that EP havnt 'gentrified' or severed ties with their past in an attempt to keep on trend. All the UK parks did this over the 2000s to their detriment, they were far more interested in not being seen as unfashionable than building good new attractions for the day.

The difference with Europa Park is their older attractions do seem from a much older time and did copy Disney a lot, but I think getting rid for the sake of it isnt the best idea. It's part the place's history after all!

Geisterschloss would fare much better if it stayed as a classic endloss haunted house, but was just the best at doing what it does and staying in that style, rather than be a confused mess at the moment. Others like Piccolo Mondo are a bit disposable.

Madame Freudenreich I think is a brilliant example of how to redo an older ride and making the right calls about what to change, without overcooking it

Michael Mack has just announced what the new attraction in the cellar of Scandinavia will be called, as well as unveiling a logo and some new coloured concept art! :)

I for one welcome our new cute eight armed overlord as he begins his conquest to dominate the mouse.

    Called it!

Not sure if it is trackless though?

My question is whether this was planned prior to the fire? Seems like very quick progress to come up with the theme and ride system between the fire happening and the reconstruction of the area. Seems like a perfect idea to get Snorri a bit more coherent though.

I'll be very disappointed if it doesn't reference Vineta in some way. I'm not giving up hope yet! :p

It may not quite be Vineta: The Ride however this looks absolutely adorable!

As Dan says, the level of investment at the moment really is crazy. But long may it continue!

It's almost as if they've realised that investment in a varying degree of scale and types are bound to bring in more guests.... perhaps a certain UK based theme park operator would benefit from taking note.

Honestly...I`m loving this! MFC is putting me in such a wonderful mood...so positive...and this seems as it will do the job aswell. As much as I like coasters and looking forward to the next (big) one...but this is enriching the park so much! I was very critical with the park when ECCC opened late, with the poor theming an the unreliable and expensive Valerien....but now...there`s sooooo much going on in Rust to be happy about :) I have to admit: The EP-fanboy in me is on the rise again :D

Sad thing is something of this scale could easily fit into the CATCF building at Towers, or I'm A Celeb area at Thorpe. Couldn't possibly work though as there's no world's first to bang on about.

German common sense once again making a mockery of the suit and tie marketing degree approach.

    Christmas visit = Confirmed.

Christmas is certainly looking like a good time for a visit this year, what with this and Rulantica opening towards the back end of the year.

Well, if yesterday’s announcement wasn’t enough, Michael Mack has posted a couple of pics of what are presumably concept models for Piraten in Batavia! :)

EDIT: We appear to have another piece of concept art for Snorri Touren, posted by Europa Park FR this morning.

This is a really nice way of having Snorri integrated into Europa-Park, and not just resigned to Rulantica. I'm not sure whether Euromaus will similarly have much of a presence in Rulantica, but I can hope.

The picture looks almost like some sort of boat ride, sailing on water. Although it could just as likely be a small trackless dark ride. I do hope its the latter, as I've been on some pretty good small trackless rides (Bazyliszek at Legendia and Benno's Great Race at Ferrari World spring to mind). I'm sure whatever it turns out being will be better than Bench, anyway.

EDIT: EP's 2019 video pretty much confirms it is a trackless dark ride. Brilliant!

Some more new Scandinavia/Snorri artwork revealed today. The Camp David shop is returning and the popular shark has a new home:

I love the design for the Snorri Tourren car. It’s a great concept for a trackless dark ride too.

The new animatronic looks pretty decent. Certainly a step up in quality for EP, compared to the likes of Arthur.

Does anyone know who’s developing these, is it Garner Holt?

According to the EP website it looks like the Bamboe Baai restaurant will open from winter. Obviously it can operate prior to Pirates opening assuming it’s a similar layout to previous, but it does make you wonder whether the ride itself might be open by this point as well.

Where's the 'change log' that epfans.info usually post? I can't find it on their site.
