I'll just ask for a refund for my premium pass bareing in mind it won't open until at least July now so not really getting any time or value for moneyI agree, instead of the GP people getting on an average of 3 rides a day, you'll be lucky to get on one
For us regular enthusiasts, the lack of re-rides will be a shock
Oh, that's also be single riders queue out of the window

Unless they limit the number of people in the park to a very low amount, the number of rides you get will naturally be limited by social distancing rules and the resulting decrease in capacity. I can't see how a socially distant theme park visit would be at all fun unfortunatelySo I read something which said theme parks like Alton towers could use time slots to prevent queues to maintain social distancing when the parks eventually reopen. I hope this isn't true as it'd limit the amount of rides you could get on massively

I think Phantasialand's acknowledgement that a Social Distancing Theme Park wouldn't be much fun is probably the most reasonable and honest response so far. I personally find having to wear a face mask unexpectedly depressing, and I can't imagine that would feel any more convenient if I was hanging off the edge of Oblivion.

I've watched the videos of Disneyland Shanghai and it seems okay ish. I wouldn't mind wearing a mask and Kazza and her grubby kids being kept 2 meters away from me. It won't be for everyone but if its open and I feel well enough to go I feel I could cope with wearing a face mask and watching where I am standing.

It could be an issue with the minimum rider numbers on some rides as wellSo I read something which said theme parks like Alton towers could use time slots to prevent queues to maintain social distancing when the parks eventually reopen. From the videos I saw, the signs on floor are the sections you DON'T stand in. Seems like most will just see dimly lit footprints and step on them, rather than stay in the gaps. It will also be interesting how it scales up as the parks get busier.
I do wonder how this will impact queue jumping and how vigilant parks get in managing it, considering it breaks the 2M rule.
Water dummies?13 wont be able to open.

Exactly what I suggested to him in a pm about TWD:TR and co but thinking about it there's probably some safety rule saying they aren't allowed to be on trains in passenger service.Water dummies?

Couldn’t they just turn the trims off? That way, it would maintain more momentum and be a better experience for the riders!13 wont be able to open.
From what I know, I think trims are speed-dependant. Take the large trim on the second hill of Mako at SeaWorld Orlando, for instance; if it’s a hot summer’s day in Orlando and the ride has a full train, then the train will travel more quickly, and the trim will trim more heavily. If it’s a colder day, and the ride only has a half-full train, then the train will travel more slowly, and the trim won’t trim as much. Trims are designed primarily to manage a ride’s speed, so applying this logic to Thirteen; if there’s less mass in the train, the trims won’t trim as heavily, and therefore the ride can still run.
If they can put sandbags on the Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach with guests in the train, then I don’t see an issue with putting water dummies or sandbags into Thirteen while guests are in the train.Exactly what I suggested to him in a pm about TWD:TR and co but thinking about it there's probably some safety rule saying they aren't allowed to be on trains in passenger service.

I can't see social distancing happening on Hex or Duel. Probably not in the preshow of Wicker Man unless they manage to spread everyone out or unless the throughput it brought down.

Hex probably won’t open or will have a significantly reduced capacity.
Wickerman preshow can be easily scrapped and you just walk through into the station.
Duel seems quite an easy one to operate on social distancing by just ensuring cars are only loaded by family groups with no sharing with others.

The main "problem" would be that the water dummies / sandbags would have a higher level of common sense than the average Towers guest (many of whom would just ignore social distancing, based on what we've seen in parks / on beaches etc over the past few weeks).

Duel with its continuously moving cars would be a nightmare to wipe down each time, to stop the cars you'd have to stop the whole ride. Plus it's in such poor state it's just not worth opening these days.

Not an easy one, and like Oily Water said, it's not worth it these days with the state it's in. I wonder how Shanghai Disneyland got on today?Hex probably won’t open or will have a significantly reduced capacity.

Does Smilier not have to run with a certain amount of people to prevent valleying? So possibly no duel, hex and 13. Can anyone else think of any other rides that won’t open currently. I doubt they would open up the new David walliams ride yet. Obviously dungeons would stay closed but off top of my head can’t think what else would have to close.
