The Galactica entrance is currently functioning as a hotel guest entrance, so I’m not 100% sure on whether day guests would be allowed to exit through it.Anyone know if you can exit the park via the Galactica entrance or Woodland Walk at the moment? If so, what times? Thanks
It’s mentioned on the park map though so they must intend to have it operational! In terms of Woodland Walk; it didn’t look very open when I was there yesterday. The path looked quite overgrown, and there wasn’t even any indication that it ever existed. So in that regard, I’d guess that the Woodland Walk isn’t presently open for guests.
Alton Towers have just published a new blog and the downloadable version of this year's park map if anyone wants a closer look.
The blog mentions some further accessibility changes, especially in Gloomy Wood, which now has an accessible toilet and new ramps for Duel. Also the Garden Centre in the conservatories is remaining open for now.

we used the galactica exit on our visit on Wednesday, had no issues whatsoever. I don’t think they have a problem with day guests using it to exit from what I’ve seen in the past. It’s only upon entrance it’s exclusively for hotel guests, and rightly so.

Just noticed this on Twitter. Let’s hope the feedback from guests helps them build a business case for more permanent flat rides.
Same here, but it works if you click on it.It says the tweet is unavailable for me... what does it say?
I get the point but where do you draw the line? If half of the big coasters have closed queues for much of the day it’s not great. They need to cap the queues for the other coasters when they hit capacity like they do on the smiler. Someone I know had been today and Rita, Th13teen and Nemesis queues all spilling out the entrance. Nemesis queue was past sub terra at one point apparently
I think a replacement Wave Swinger (good for all the family), a Smashing Jump, a Top Scan and Gyro Swing (I know height might be an issue for this) would be my top picks for new permanent flats now. I think all 4 would be super popular, I'd have the Smashing Jump in X Sector, the Top Scan in Dark Forest, the Gyro Swing in Forbidden Valley and the Wave Swinger in TWoDW themed in somehow. Maybe wishful thinking but I'd love for this to happen!Same here, but it works if you click on it.
Fantastic that they are actively requesting guest feedback! Makes the chance of them getting a permanent Smashing Jump next season/in the future more and more likely.

A gyroswing would have to be substatially sunk down into the ground in order to meet the tree height rule. Blade's plot would probably be best suitred to one of those as it'a already below ground level.A zamperla discovery like the new one at paultons would just about fit with their height restrictions and would work on the site of ripsaw I would think.
