2021: General Discussion
Yes they are - if you go onto the app you can add fastracks to your basket for that weekendAre they really selling fast tracks? Surely the queue's aren't going to get long enough to bother with it?

It's got to be a default setting that hasn't been changed in the ticketing software that automatically allows the sale of FTs on days the park is open, surely? I can't believe someone has made the conscious decision to sell FTs on the private days. Have they sold them on other private days? Are they really selling fast tracks? Surely the queue's aren't going to get long enough to bother with it?

If people are thick enough to pay for unnecessary Fast Track that's their own fault.
The organisers of the event probably agreed that the park can sell their own fastracks.
I do think they’ve messed up though offering spectator tickets for £22 - anyone and everyone can book them and get a dirt cheap day out with 7 hours (11:30am - 18:30pm) of ride time in a probably very quiet park!

Initially spectator tickets were only available for those with tickets to participate in the run. The fact they have now opened them up to all is probably a conscious decision based on ticket sale volumes and the desire to hit the number of guests the event planners need to meet their targets.

Does anyone know if Hex opened today? Really hoping that's not it for the season. They seem to be dropping like flies!

I don't think it did. Along with Congo River Rapids and The Smiler seemingly shut for the rest of the season, it wouldn't surprise me if that was it for Hex as well.Does anyone know if Hex opened today? Really hoping that's not it for the season. They seem to be dropping like flies!

Seems like they really are crawling along to the end of the season then, doesn't it?

It seems to be that way, I've never known as many rides be closed at once all day as this.

It didn't open yesterday unfortunately. I asked the lass outside the entrance and she confirmed it would be closed all day. It's still closed today as well according to the app. I too wouldn't be surprised if it remained closed for the rest of this season.Does anyone know if Hex opened today? If Hex and The Smiler are going to be down to the end of the season I am really worried about fireworks. The park will be rammed. It is going to be absolute carnage.
The customer experience is going to be really low as both customers aren't going to be able to get on all the rides they wanted too and the rides they do get on they're going to have to queue for ridiculous times for. With FastTrack probably sold out the main queue's are going to be even worse.
All I'm going to say is I wouldn't want to be there.

I'm there on the Friday and Saturday. Don't forget they do restrict numbers quite heavily (compared to what the park capacity is) for safety reasons on Fireworks days anyway. Whether that is hugely below what it is currently restricted to (if indeed it is), I don't know. But if they know rides are going to be down, they could restrict numbers more than normal for Fireworks to try and avoid the situation you describe. If Hex and The Smiler are going to be down to the end of the season I am really worried about fireworks. Good point and I hope they've restricted it that little bit more. Just a few hundred would probably help because if they're is too many people in the park this could well be a disaster and be all over the press. In the long term that would be worth profit wise then just not letting a few hundred extra people in.I'm there on the Friday and Saturday. It broke down at around 8pm-ish last night when I was in the pre-show room. It reopened around 30 mins later and stayed open til queue close. Either it broke again after the queues closed or had issues during morning testing today. On that note has Wickerman been down all day?

Wicker Man has been open briefly this morning, but it lasted for less than 30 minutes.
