They say this - I hope they aren't saying it knowing that certain rides will still be closed, because then they're just asking for backlash.
If it works as intended, Towers could well adopt the same system. So with Chessingtons announcement that they are moving to an online RAP system from the start of the new season does anyone think AT will soon announce the same?
Even if Enterprise isn't ready I doubt they'll receive any backlashIf that aerial shot of X Sector was taken on Sunday, then hats off to them if they get Enterprise back together, tested, signed off, staff trained and open by Saturday.
I really don’t think anyone has a clue unfortunately. They have definitely been doing work on them over closed season because they were enclosed in scaffolding etc for a while. Whether this is because the waterfalls are being recommissioned is anyone’s guess. Could just mean they were repointing the masonry to keep it safely maintained due to proximity to riders. Time will tell!Any news on if the waterfalls will be back on for opening day?
I don't think anyones sure yet - the themed masks are gone and the facade has been done up, whilst that may indicate they might, who knows at this point.Any news on if the waterfalls will be back on for opening day?
I have a clue/am sure. They won't be in operation next season.Any news on if the waterfalls will be back on for opening day?
Just popping this here as a handy reference point ahead of the weekend.
Forget to mention that multiple rides in pieces still …Hmm bit of a weird one saying they expect all rides to be open, when obviously they knew enterprise, Smiler and rapids wouldn't be. They should've just stuck to the bottom line of "Our rides are subject to availability" as then they're not putting a picture in guests head that they'll get there and everything will be open
The ‘Risk of Drowning’ signs are 100% as a result of the new HSE Rapids Guidance, and not a Merlin decision (I mean, aside from the decision to comply or not to comply with HSE guidance…).
I imagine they’ll be in addition to clear safety warnings in the queueline, given individually to guests on boarding, additional spotters around the ride, a definite ‘no’ on the return of the waterfalls etc., and plenty of other measures to boot.
This is absolutely the HSE trying to close rapids, without ACTUALLY giving that instruction, but instead making them incredibly costly and difficult to operate compliantly. Can guarantee there’ll never be a new rapids built in the UK, and existing operators are very much wanting to close their rides but not being able to due to a mixture of still waiting on return of investment capital, detrimental impact on guests days etc.
