Duels doors were just open not too long ago!! Seems that the vestibule is still intact.
Hmm, not much to report on there with most of the work likely taking place in the main ride section.

Actually, I do have a question and no, not a stupid one compared to some of the previous comments on here regarding Mr Blobby and WD40.

With the characters of Sir Henry and Emily Alton...was there ever at all Emily's mother mentioned in the original HH, original plans or never was a thing at all?

Don't know why I'm asking this TBH but it has been bugging me with all these little plot threads with the backstory of the HH I'm trying to fit together.

...who had his head tucked under his arm...so I wouldn't take the individual too seriously.
Half hearted character generation to develop the plot thirty years ago.

Most certainly! You'll find him on this video as well! Kinds goody looking fella, but that makes it better!

Was that when they had to find 34 members of staff to dress up and sit on all of the 34 ride cars to keep hitting the reset button after they all failed? Have just gotten the Smoke and Mirror book in case you all want to know, and I'm fascinated about the history of it even more now.

I believe Sir Henrry alton wasn't for the ride vehicles and was an official mascot for roaming, would be a bit hard when holding your own head now XD!

Glad you enjoyed the Smoke and Mirrors book! Some great thing sin there and it really shows you how good it was back then!

Double post sorry, just wanted to upload a few photos on here for archival purposes as they most likely wont be there next year. @Craig if I could, can these be put in Duels gallery page?

Been watching this video from a few years ago with Duel with the lights on. Didn't seem realised just how well detailed yet sparse in places it is. The garden though I think actually is my favourite for just all the detail you can see there with thr lights on.

Indeed! The Poltergeist room, The Grand Hall, and the Garden are easily the most detailed parts of the ride. That's why I hope they keep most of the HH theming, because of its unique style and immaculate detail. I really doubt they'd be able to make new Scenes at Detailed as them nowadays.

No they wouldn't. They really don't make rides like this anymore because it's easier and cheaper to use a TV screen or projector, will be more reliable too... This ride needs to be preserved

I don't go to a theme park to watch TV screens and use VR head sets and whatever else.
