Oh I just meant more insanity driven posts being written at every little bit of information/non-information, but I hear you.To look back on 90% of Merlin rides/rethemes, many broken hearts and anger I'd say when it does return.
Perhaps Wicker Man? However, I guess even that wasn't completely well received... although with that being said, what is?When was the last time a Merlin project was completely well-received?
Merlin's previous failures make many people pessimistic about this refurb. However, I am fairly optimistic because Merlin seem to be improving in theming quality and making some very nice areas, such as Shipwreck Coast at Chessington, which I think can be transferred into the new attraction and will make it impressive, although of course I don't know how progress is coming on and what theming is being installed.
I really like Wicker Man, but the layout leaves a lot to be desired. Of course, if we are to delve in to Scarefest attractions, I would say that well over 99 percent of people who experienced it feel positively about Sub Species, especially in its early days.Perhaps Wicker Man? However, I guess even that wasn't completely well received... although with that being said, what is?
I wouldn't be surprised if Jumanji also opened in March. They've almost completed the track, and the theming looks to be in quite an advanced state of completion!More than likely to be Jumanji, this ride is probably going to open VERY soon (March), and making the music now would be an odd choice. If they planned the new scenes already, wouldn't the music come second as the basic story is done, the design and style is pretty much conveyed too at MMM, I think creating the scenes, then the music would be an odd choice. Music takes time to be planned and perfected for specific tastes of what its trying to tell, so if they've only started with the music a mere 3 months away from (presumably) reopening, why wait for all that time since planning. Music for a ride isn't made on site, they're either made be individuals like Nick Hutson and Simon Allen at their home, or a music studio. They could've started creating the new score months back and it wouldn't hinder any progress of the rides physical development.
Jumanji At Chessington is still yet to reveal a specific opening date, so it could be late spring this year, like When Vikings at Drayton Manor opened in Early June, and the music for that area and attractions still being in development 5 months behind at latest is very valid.
I could be wrong though, Duel could reopen midway through the season.
Sadly that won't be possible, because Bradley Wynne, the Creative Lead on Wicker Man, has since left Merlin to work for Escape Hunt UK (I think?). John Burton is now the parks' Creative Lead, and I don't think he had anything to do with Wicker Man.I would be completely comfortable with the same people having a go at the next project.
It also proved to other theme parks in the UK and the world that woodies are marketable.Wicker Man was done really well, given the space the designers were given to work with. Yes, Wardley apparently had to make a last minute change to make the ride more thrilling, but the theme and overall concept and ride was a success. No doubt about it. The general public really like it and enthusiasts like it too. I would be completely comfortable with the same people having a go at the next project.
Who says they didn't? HOW do you know who, when or what with this project, based off a tweet??They could've started creating the new score months back
I just don't see why they'd hold back making the new in score such a prolonged period of time. I am merely suggesting this since people have been going on about the tweet and people automatically assume it's related to Duel, when it could be many other projects.Who says they didn't? HOW do you know who, when or what with this project, based off a tweet??
That's a good point, but I do feel it's more likely to be for Duel as John has posted teasers before. This could either be for Jumanji or for the Duel refurb; I don't think anything important can really be deciphered from this.
What makes you think the music has only just been created? The fact John is listening to new ride music just means it’s for a new ride really, it could have been created months and months ago.More than likely to be Jumanji, this ride is probably going to open VERY soon (March), and making the music now would be an odd choice. That's what I'm suggesting. Everyone think the new music being made still, so I was trying to say it could've been made months ago since John was listening to it.What makes you think the music has only just been created? The fact John is listening to new ride music just means it’s for a new ride really, it could have been created months and months ago.
