Current Information
At around 4:40 p.m., a local fire broke out at the “Yomi Magical World of Diamonds” attraction in Europa-Park. The fire was fought and brought under control by a large contingent of firefighters, and the operation is still ongoing. Police and rescue services were also on duty.
According to initial findings, the report about the fire in the technical room of a building there was received by the rescue services via a fire alarm. The security mechanisms - such as fire alarms and alarm plans - have worked smoothly according to the current status. In addition to the officials from Rust, Ettenheim and Lahr, the first investigators from the criminal police are already on site.
Thanks to the smooth cooperation of the various rescue services and the park employees, as well as the impeccable behavior of the visitors, a quick, orderly evacuation was possible. All visitors were escorted out of the park. According to the current state of knowledge, two firefighters were slightly injured during the extinguishing work. The overnight guests were able to return to the hotels promptly.
Europa-Park will open regularly on Tuesday.
