[2024] Alpenexpress & Tiroler Wildwasserbahn Rebuild

Yikes, let's just hope this one doesn't do as much damage as the 2018 fire (not holding out too much hope with the size of those smoke clouds).

Yep its Zauberwelt…

Just saw this on looopings, hope no one is hurt.

Cant wait to the new spain 2025 dark ride now.

There seems to be conflicting reports of where this is. A few people have mentioned Alpenexpress and Diamond Mine, other reports are referring to the Panorama train station in Spain. Either way this looks serious

It’s all part of the same building, which would explain the confusion. Pictures show the train station itself reasonably intact at the moment though.

There's a post on their press channel although it does not have any details at the moment:

"Dear visitors/friends of Europa-Park, an incident has occurred at Europa-Park. We work closely with the responsible authorities and emergency services. An update will follow as new information becomes available."

"The fire is currently under control and we are not aware of any injuries at this time."

... and from the linked police report:

"A locally limited fire was reported in an amusement park near Rust around 4:40 p.m. The fire is currently being fought by a large contingent of firefighters and is under control. Police and rescue services are also on duty. All visitors are currently in the process of leaving the amusement park in an orderly manner. Nothing is currently known about injured persons."

Obviously we don't know the cause as of yet but how on earth does lightening strike twice in the same place? Very bizarre.

Oh no this is really worrying, really lovely part of the park that seems to have gone up. At least it seems that they've managed to get it under control more quickly than the Scandinavia fire. I guess we can only wait to see the extent of any damage. If the diamond mines are gone that would be a massive shame.

Initial findings are that a fire started in a technical room in Diamond Mine

Current Information

At around 4:40 p.m., a local fire broke out at the “Yomi Magical World of Diamonds” attraction in Europa-Park. The fire was fought and brought under control by a large contingent of firefighters, and the operation is still ongoing. Police and rescue services were also on duty.

According to initial findings, the report about the fire in the technical room of a building there was received by the rescue services via a fire alarm. The security mechanisms - such as fire alarms and alarm plans - have worked smoothly according to the current status. In addition to the officials from Rust, Ettenheim and Lahr, the first investigators from the criminal police are already on site.

Thanks to the smooth cooperation of the various rescue services and the park employees, as well as the impeccable behavior of the visitors, a quick, orderly evacuation was possible. All visitors were escorted out of the park. According to the current state of knowledge, two firefighters were slightly injured during the extinguishing work. The overnight guests were able to return to the hotels promptly.

Europa-Park will open regularly on Tuesday.

I don't think I know another park that's had so many fires! I hope everyone is okay! That's another area that's about to have a refurb!
