Completely agree! I think we'd all prefer a slight delay and a complete Nemesis instead of a hastily rushed Nemesis just for opening weekend. Saying that, I still think Towers should be aiming for an opening weekend debut for the ride simply to bring some much needed capacity, throughput and ride availability back into the park.If it is delayed I'm good with that as long as they don't cut things out and leave an unfinished project.
It also strikes me this project seems to be rather behind schedule. Time will tell though. They have about 8 weeks to go to turn a building site into a fully themed ride experience.
It's not just testing that could be the issue though... If the ride hardware and system is ready but the station is not then they'd have to delay it.Considering the last update was end of December I’m not too worried. They need about a month for commissioning testing and a few weeks for training. If they start testing before end of Jan then I think it will be fine.
Does Inferno have the new-style op panel though? Nemmy 2.0 has been given that so I would have thought they'd need to train on a coaster with the same panel style.I would imagine if training time is tight they could potentially lean on Thorpe for training on Inferno?
But there’s not a lot external contractors won’t do for money.
Off topic but now that I remember, wasn't Thirteen's queueline finished with just a few hours before opening IIRC? But yeah, Towers does seem to have this problem dating all the way back since Tussauds. And we have potentially got snow this week too. All brings back memories of Oblivion, ERT starting when it should have ended, block pavers still using "whackers" to put in the sand as guests were running into X-Sector. Queueline flower beds full of abandoned building materials. Fast forward 4 years and exactly the same on Air.
They learnt their lesson with Rita & were not hell-bent on a first day of season opening - they opened the ride when it was actually ready. Let's see how history repeats itself in a "Reborn" form!

Looks exactly like that. . .What's going on by the front leg at the top right of the picture? Looks like in the promo clip with the pincers where it grabs the support?
Were those pictures taken before the TLC repaint? Because if not, thank god they're doing up the station, I didn't realise how decrepit it looked.
