True, but then again Thirteen was promoted as every theme park ride you’ve ever dreamed of in one, so I'm pretty sure joe public are used to Towers telling porkies. . .Their announcement feels disingenuous because it neglects to mention that the closure is temporary.
I understand that they're trying to provoke a reaction (it's getting heaps of comments from people who believe Nemesis is closing permanently, and are gutted about it) but... this almost feels like false advertising?
They're encouraging the public to spend their money by visiting the park and getting their final rides in, knowing full well that the ride will be back in just over a year.
It's no different to Sports Direct saying they're "closing down" every few weeks though and the ride will be closed for an extended period of time, so there's nothing false in the advertising. Nothing wrong with creating a bit of hype and encouraging some engagement to push a few extra guests through the gate!
