From it's creator himself, Nemesis should be safe for another 30 years! (22:19)
Watched it and I get the impression a full restoration is happening.....can only be good news

Absolutely. One thing I would add is subtle LED lighting on the trains - to enhance the red theme of the ride when it's run in the darkWatched it and I get the impression a full restoration is happening.....can only be good news
Shame no one asked him If Duels getting any work done to it since the rumours, but I'm not complaining any video with John Wardley in it is bound to be great!Absolutely. One thing I would add is subtle LED lighting on the trains - to enhance the red theme of the ride when it's run in the dark
Weird how he stresses when and if the work happens, then goes on to say, it will be safe for another 30 years.
The last bit being old news of course, as that was pretty obvious when the planning applications went in, providing construction starts of course.
Yes but if they have planning granted surely it means it can happen at any point within a set time period?
I still see it happening next year, but you never know.
What I think is clear though is that there is a lot of planned investment. He raves about John 2, hopefully we're in safe hands with this guy
Plus would they really want Duel, Nemmy and Hex down for Scarefest? Not convinced.I very much doubt they'll close it without some fanfare ahead of the end of the season, unless there is a maintenance issue which would be prohibitively expensive to fix and would be replaced in any case by the retrack/refurb.

They probably wouldn’t, no.Plus would they really want Duel, Nemmy and Hex down for Scarefest? Not convinced.
And Hex.They probably wouldn’t, no.
Although they did have Smiler and Rapids down last Scarefest, which didn’t seem to affect things too badly, from what I remember.
Hex was down last Halloween as well, was it? It must be having some real issues, then…And Hex.
Rapids tends to run with around half of boats filled in October anyway, I suspect there was an element of prioritising resources with that downtime since it takes so many staff to keep it running. By all accounts Smiler was down because they literally couldn't get the parts to have it working rather than any kind of choice. They probably wouldn’t, no.

It was open just before the half term, no idea about closer to the big day itself though.Hex was down last Halloween as well, was it? It must be having some real issues, then…

If Nemesis is to close before the season is out, it's going to be really interesting - and probably quite stressful visiting the park with a major coaster down and two indoor supports shut as well. With it being one of the busiest times of year, you'd hope Nemesis would stay open - it also seems like the sort of thing they'd want to announce prior as well. But then again, Duel hasn't had anything aside from a sign out back.
